miss misty
Maine Coon Misty, as ever, was ready and willing for her session in Oldham, Greater Manchester when we called on her recently.
At almost 2 years old Misty loves her grooming sessions. She (and her sister, Meascha) always begin a self groom whilst the gear is being set up, then she enjoys the fuss !
We removed a few tangles here and there and had a good brush out of that winter coat.
As always, a great session Misty !
acting like a kitten again
We called in again to see Persian Poppy in Accrington, Lancashire.
We last met up with Poppy some months ago, when she had her first clip. Extremely fidgety !
Today, another Lion Clip was on the cards. Poppy’s coat was matted in places and a brush out would not have worked. She really does not like any combing by mum or dad and her coat is that cotton wooly affair that knots easily. Here’s a piccie below of Poppy before the session began.
Overall, a much less fidgety session today. So well done Poppy !
Later, mum Debbie said
“Thank you for the time you spend grooming Poppy as you could see before you left she played a lot that day – all that fur must have been weighing her down. The biggest change in her is her attachment to me. She is a lot more affectionate and sitting on my knee at every opportunity. She also follows me to bed for a cuddle pawing me when she doesn’t get enough attention. She has also let me brush out her beard, as we call it, a few times now. She’s still not very happy about it but we are leaving her brush out so she gets used to it and now she doesn’t run away when she sees it. We will be in touch again (sooner this time)”
black beauty
Sweet Mindy from Astley, Greater Manchester was ready for her manincure this time around
Quite a cautious girl, but ever so friendly.
Mindy knows just what it’s all about and it’s over before she knows it. No fuss.
Well done Mindy, nice seeing you again !
handsome spirit
Here’s 8 year old Himalayan Persian Spirit in Stockport, Cheshire.
Spirit’s coat was on the extra thick side today, as you might imagine at this point in the year.
We took away Spirit’s tummy hair to make life easier under there, and brushed out the rest of his coat.
Feeling lighter !
fluffy charlie
14 year old Charlie from Wigan, Greater Manchester is becoming more mellow at each session.
The first time we met up, Charlie’s coat was quite pelted in areas. She wouldn’t let mum or dad comb, and she was quite sure that we weren’t going there either.
As sessions have progressed, Charlie is obviously feeling better about herself. Her coat this time around was the nicest it’s ever looked and she was so much calmer. In fact, on the quiet we think she enjoyed some of the fuss !
handsome sansa
Come and say Hello to Sansa from Chorley, Lancashire.
Sansa is just over 1 year old and he’s a Ragdoll. He’s a little timid when he’s unsure what’s going on and this was his first professional groom.
We’d been called in as Sansa had developed a few lumps and bumps around his coat which needed tending to. Sansa wasn’t keen on the idea, but he went along with it.
Nice meeting you, Sansa !
what a bonnie lass
If anyone recognises Maine Coon Bonnie in Preston, Lancashire you’ve been with us a long time ! Last time we met up with Bonnie was about 3 years ago. Yes – She remembered !
Such a friendly girl. We had a little chat about what was going to happen, whilst the gear was set up. Some matted areas needed to be removed – mainly down her sides, flanks and lower back and rear quarters. The rest of her coat needed a good work through with the comb.
Bonnie really did know it was all for her benefit and although she was a little fidgety, she was a real good girl.
Nice seeing you again, Bonnie !
lovely phoebe
Phoebe. Persian. 2 years old. Winsford. Cheshire. A lovely little girl.
Remember Phoebe ?
Phoebe’s not keen on her coat being attended to, but sessions are definitely becoming easier for her. A Belly Clip and a brushout, and removal of one or two tangles this time around.
We began well, then became fidgety. However, we got there ! Calmer still next time, eh Phoebe ?
