eloise from hoghton
We recently paid another visit to Maine Coon Eloise in Hoghton, Lancashire.
Eloise isn’t keen on being groomed – but it’s rather necessary as her long coat picks up twigs and bracken and anything else that stands in her way when she’s out there doing her cat stuff !
We took away one or 2 areas that couldn’t be worked through, and brushed out the rest of her coat. Not too much fuss – and we know that she knows it’s all for the best !
Nice seeing you Eloise !
miss mary
British Short Hair Mary is now 16 months old. Who remembers Mary ?
Mary lives in Altrincham, Cheshire with her family and housemate.
As a house cat, Mary’s nails don’t wear down as much as a cat who is out and about so it’s important to keep an eye on them.
She enjoys a manicure every few weeks – and she’s such a good girl, taking it all in her stride !
gorgeous gizmo
12 year old Gizmo from Chorley, Lancashire was due his maintenance session recently.
When we first met up with Gizmo last Autumn, his coat had become clunky in parts and we took some of it away for a fresh start.
Today, his coat had grown back beautifully. He was ready for a brush out to get him in the Spring mood, and one or 2 small lugs were starting to form underneath.
We had one or two quiet swear words along the way, but just grumbling ! Gizmo was a good boy and much more amenable to positioning today. He would have rather have been laying on his side in the garden, but went along with us on the grooming table !
A few days after the session, mum Colette told us
“Gizmo is really happy and chilled. He loves us stroking him and is running around the house like a kitten (he’s 12). He seems much more relaxed and comfier. His coat looks amazing. Thanks again xx”
3 ladies from the himalayas
You could be forgiven for thinking that this is just 1 young chick. However, these 3 young ladies needed our help recently.
“Suri, Yasmin and Esta are absolutely loving their new coats. They are a lot more active and playful (after a couple of wary days just making sure that each one was who they thought they were). They are more affectionate with us, but some of that may be because they like our warmth. They are grooming themselves more and one another and are definitely happier and so are we as a consequence. Have not ventured out much till the last couple of warmer days. Thanks again for responding to our cries for help”
hey mickey
“Thank you so much for sorting Mickey out he’s like a different cat x … He’s cleaning himself a lot more”
how old ?
18 year old Ginger from Manchester asked us to call in on her again.
You may remember that we met up with Ginger for the first time around November time. At that point, Ginger’s coat was quite pelted, and we took most of the coat from her rear torso away for a fresh start.
Today, that coat had grown back nicely. It was however, definitely ready for a good thinning out and was already beginning to get clumpy underneath. Ginger’s never keen on that tummy region being touched, and was adamant she wasn’t going to lay over – so we worked on it in stages at her pace.
Looking fluffy, Ginger !
pretty oliver
British Longhair Oliver in Bolton, Greater Manchester was looking very fluffy and definitely ready for his maintenance Lion Clip when we called in on him this time.
Although Oliver isn’t keen on the idea at the time, he behaves himself very nicely. Just not at all keen on the underneath bits and rear being tended to ! The rest, he humours very well !
However, we know that he always feels grrrrrrreat afterwards – charging around like a youngster again ! … and then chillaxing in the sunshine. Here’s a piccie of Oliver, below, just before the session began. Look at his fluffy coat !!
from the sky
Persian Skyfall from Altrincham, Cheshire – Looking great after his latest session !
Sky is definitely finding sessions easier each time we visit and he was such a good boy … enjoying all the fuss without a doubt !
Looking rather swish, Sky ! (See all the dead hair behind Sky on the window ledge).
After the session, mum Angela commented :
“I worried about Sky and his matted coat all the time and even though I groomed him every day it kept getting worse. Sandra has changed all that as now Sky has a lovely coat which is improving all the time and I know Sandra is there to sort out anything I can’t. Thank you so much x”
a babe
This little lady is a new girl to join us in Liverpool, Merseyside
Persian Shiloh is almost 2 years old now and is quite a nervous girl until she gets to know you. Nosey ! In and out from behind the settee wanting a sniff of everything, but just a little too shy to get stuck in !
On the grooming table, Shiloh was a little fidgety to begin with but settled well whilst we worked through her coat. We took a lot of it away in the form of a Clip, for a fresh start.
After the session, mum Natalie said
“Thank you Sandra – you have done a brilliant job on Shiloh. Would highly recommend sandra for grooming. My Persian has had a lion clip as she was really matted and now looks fab xx”
So pleased Shiloh is fresh and happy, Natalie !
such a babe
Albie was ready for his mainicure in Urmston, Manchester.
Although Albie (or Albert on a Sunday) does go out, he’s not as active these days since he broke his front left leg. Therefore, his nails don’t wear down as much as they used to, particularly the left dew claw.
Such a gentle, boy. Nice seeing you again Albie !
