let it snow
Here’s Snowy from Preston, Lancashire. Who remembers Snowy ?
A most gentle boy of about 9 years old. Snowy’s been with his mum now for about 4 years and he’s fallen on his feet ! Along with his feline (and canine) friends, Snowy has quite a good life, thank you very much !
Much more settled on the grooming table this time around. In fact – he definitely enjoyed all the fuss ! We had a brush out and worked through one or two tangles that had developed underneath.
Nice session, Snowy !
sweet alex
Say Hello to Alex. Alex is around 8 years old and you can find him in Skelmersdale, Lancashire.
Alex has the most lovely long flowing coat, but he’s not keen on letting mum brush him – particularly around his lower back, rear quarters and underneath.
Hence, a few mats had developed. We clipped him back in these areas for a fresh start.
This was Alex’s first professional groom without anaesthetic – and he fared so well ! Although he was a little apprehensive at first about the idea – and wasn’t too keen on being worked on underneath – he did take it in his stride. In fact, we think he quite enjoyed a little fuss and the soothing cat music we played for him.
A short while later, Alex was feeling so much comfier and lighter …. and happier, no doubt !
A couple of weeks after the session, mum Clare told us :
“We can’t thank you enough. You have improved the quality of life for Alex no end! We have our gorgeous clean snugly cat back😀”
Good boy Alex. Looking forward to seeing you again in a few weeks time, by which time your coat should be growing back nicely.
what a beauty
We called in on Bella in Irlam, Manchester. Bella is a new girl to join us !
At 5 years old Bella is a friendly but cautious young lady. Her coat was in lovely condition bar than an area at the base of her back and a few ad-hoc knots that needed attention.
It took Bella only a couple of minutes to be comfortable with the clippers and we got to work with no fuss. She wasn’t as keen on having her rear attended to (!) but she fared very well.
Such a good girl !
miss molly
We called in on Molly again in Lymm, Cheshire.
Molly is a Siberian Forest Cat and is now around 18 months old. Molly’s coat is in top condition as both Molly and mum keep well on top of it.
We simply had a brush out today to make sure that Molly is ready for her Winter coat. It will be interesting to see how it develops this year. She was still only a tot really this time last year.
Although Molly reckons she’d rather not, she does enjoy the fuss that goes with a session. What didn’t amuse her though was to see arch enemy black and white chappy in her garden and not being able to see him off ! Wouldn’t mind but she’d only told him earlier that afternoon … and now he was back !! OMG !!
Anyway, Molly didn’t let him spoil our fun and soon settled again … Well done little chick. See you again in the Spring.
mr chivers
Chivers – a quite timid, gentle boy. Friendly once he gets to know you a little. He lives in Lowton, Warrington, Cheshire and he’s just 12 months old.
Chivers’ coat was in good condition – light and fluffy – as mum is well on top of his grooming. We had a light brush out and Chivers managed to lie still for short periods. Until the end – when he didn’t want to get up !
Well done Chivers !
such a lady ..
Itty Bitty is a new young lady to join our gang ! She is a 3 year old Silver Mackerel Tabby Maine Coon who lives in Leigh, Wigan.
A typical Maine Coon – Playful and ever so gentle. A little apprehensive until she’s checked everything out and got to know you – but then ever so friendly. Oh and did we mention chatty ? Yes – Chatty !
Itty Bitty’s coat needed a work through to remove knots and a pelt that had formed over one shoulder and side. We also clipped her tummy back for a fresh start.
Afterwards, we know for a fact that Itty Bitty immediately felt more comfy. She hadn’t allowed mum to stroke her lower back before the session. Now, she was sticking her rear in the air for more fuss please !
After the session, mum Roz said
“A big thank you to Sandra for coming over on thursday. My maine coon girl Itty Bitty needed some help with her knots & mats. Bitz is a quiet shy girl & Sandra was great with her the gentle talking & soothing music helped to settle her. After her session she had a good clean, sleep & feed. She is a lot happier & comfier now she is free from awful mats. Thank you again for your patience, time & a great grooming session for my baby Bitz”
ted. how old ?
We called to meet 18 year old Ted in Royton, Oldham recently. 18 years old !
Ted had developed an extensive pelt down his lower back and around his rear quarters which was tight to his skin.
He wasn’t too keen to find himself on the grooming table, but we began the session well and took the main mat away in one piece. We then worked on adhoc mats around Ted’s body – mainly underneath and his armpits.
As the session progressed Ted lost his patience a couple of times, but we got there – including a brushout of his remaining coat to help prevent future problems.
Here’s a piccie of the main pelt that came away, and the area the pelt was taken from. So pleased that you’ll feel more comfy now, Ted !
pretty sosage
This young lady is 10 year old Sosage from Wigan, Greater Manchester ! Say a big Hello, please !
Sosage is quite wary of new people, but we got along very well. She watched whilst we set all the gear up and she definitely knew it was all for her benefit.
Once on the table, Sosage was initially very fidgety. However, we set to work and concentrated on her back first of all, as she was quite badly matted down the length of her torso. With lots of sweet talk from mum, Sosage relaxed and managed to lie over in small intervals so we could sort out her undercarriage.
Afterwards, mum Judy said
“My Sosage – One happy puddy cat 🙂 – Sandra you are amazing … She is in her element, showing off. So caring and professional. Thank you so very very much 🙂 “
A few days later, Judy added
“Thank you so much shes my wickle Sosage….well maybe NOT so wickle…….she is soooo much happier now, its unbelievable…….Ive always taken her the vets for a de-matt but since she was butchered scalped and traumatized…..even under sedation i swore id never put her through that again……..Sandra is such a patient kind loving cat lady such a professional………she did an amazing job on my Sosage who was won over by Sandra, trusted her and it all paid off……..Ive got a friend in Glasgow who has asked me would you go as far there!!! You came highly recommended and ill be highly recommending you! Amazing Cat Lady 🙂 x”
Thanks Judy – and what a brave girl, Sosage !

Go on, give it a shot !
cheeky charlie
It was time to call in again on Charlie in Billinge, Wigan.
Charlie is about 13 years old and she has a long coat. The first time we met up with Charlie her coat was extremely matted and it was a difficult session as she wasn’t best pleased to find herself on the grooming table.
As our visits have occurred, sessions have become easier for Charlie and this time she came and said Hello (head rub !) when we arrived. We began the session quite calmly and removed one or two nuisance areas.
Charlie did become riled at times during the session, but was able to contain her emotions and calm down again. Well done Charlie ! Her coat towards the lower back and rear end was very thick and definitely in need of a work through.
Great session Charlie, we know you’re feeling comfier now ! See you again in the New Year chick !
