gorgeous moz

DSCN2680A Moz 170514 cropped+(c)We last met up with Moz exactly 12 months ago.  At that point he was almost 12 months old, and what we described as a medium sized lad.  Today – he is Large, with a capital L (!).

DSCN2677A Moz 170514 cropped+(c)Moz is a Red Silver Shaded Maine Coon and he lives with his litter brother and family in Denton, Manchester.

His coat was clear of any mats or knots, so just needed a good brush through – to relieve him of bits of garden, that he was carrying around with him !  Twigs and the like … !

Moz was much more relaxed this session and managed to lay quite patiently whilst we worked underneath and around his bod.

It was a hot afternoon and after the session, Moz was straight out into his garden to chill … Well, not for that long – he had to come back in a couple of times for a nosey !

After the session, mum Amanda said :

“Just wanted to say thank you again for the brilliant grooming of Bowie and Moz on Saturday. Moz is still strutting around with his glorious new look and even seems more inclined to look after himself! Bowie is as proud as ever and has been miaowing a lot to make sure I pick out any grass and twigs as soon as they are on him. They both look gorgeous and your love and dedication to both of them is much appreciated.“

[Bowie’s story was posted a couple of days ago]

There’s a VERY short video clip of Moz on our facebook page, if you want to pop over and have a facebook page to have a look.

Well done Moz … Really good boy !

bonny bowie

DSCN2674A Bowie 170514 cropped+(c)Some of you may remember this young Red Silver Tabby Maine Coon who is now almost 2 years old.  He is called Bowie, and he lives in Denton, Manchester with his brother and family.

DSCN2672A Bowie 170514 cropped+(c)We last saw Bowie exactly (!) 1 year ago, and when we met up this time around, Bowie presented as handsome as ever !

Last year Bowie was very fidgety on the grooming table.  It was evident that he remembered the session, and how to behave – as he was noticeable more settled during this session.  There were just a couple of small areas that needed to be clipped away and the rest of Bowie’s coat was brushed out.

Following the session, mum Amanda said :

Moz is still strutting around with his glorious new look and even seems more inclined to look after himself! [Moz’s story will be posted in a couple of days time]

A good session Bowie – well done !

what a walkway …!

35e726a64dc9e1bf821e4da439204b87[1] with sourceWow !!

We know a few little ones who would LOVE to go upstairs the high way !

What do you think ?  Would yours like it too ?

Come over to facebook page and let us know …

gentle tilley

DSCN2574A Tilley 070514 cropped+(c)This gorgeous little chick is 3 year old grey tabby Tilley, who lives in New Moston, Manchester.

Tilley’s coat was in fantastic condition, without a knot in sight.  However Tilley was shedding a lot of dead hair around the house, therefore a brush out was in order.

She was a very gentle girl throughout the session – and although quite fidgety, Tilley let us work through her coat without fuss.  Her tummy will now certainly benefit from ingesting less hair.

Well done Tilley …  Such a good girl !

jolly jasper

DSCN2617A Jasper 110514 cropped+(c)Remember Jasper ?  This handsome young man is 3 years old and lives in Stockport, Cheshire.

DSCN2615A Jasper 110514 cropped+(c)We last saw Jasper earlier this year.  Since then both he and his mum have continued to look after his coat so well.

We’d been called in to this session for a brush out, to rid Jasper of dead hair that was sitting in his coat from last winter.  Not a knot in sight, just a really pleasant brush through, which Jasper enjoyed !

Day to day, Jasper is such a vocal guy.  Meow meow meow ….

At the last session he did a fair amount of talking, whilst we groomed.  This time, it was less so.  He relaxed immediately on the grooming table, whilst we clipped his nails.  No fuss at all.  Then he willingly obliged by laying on his side while we got to work underneath.  He was soooo chilled, listening to some music we were playing for him.  The occasional ‘meow’, but this seemed to be in response to us calling his name, or talking to him.

DSCN2616A Jasper 110514 cropped+(c)We think he really enjoyed the pamper and the fuss !

If you pop over to our facebook page, you can see a short video clip of Jasper on the grooming table at the end of his groom – and then chilling, just ater his session. Look how long and thick Jasper’s coat is !!

After the session, mum Claire said :

” … thank you so much for looking after Herbie and Jasper. Herbie was as nervous as ever. I’m sure you remember Jasper’s first groom nearly a year ago !  This was his third and he seemed much more calmer and more relaxed, the music seemed to help. He has been a lot happier since his groom, he’s been more affectionate than ever !  Thank you for your care and attention, we look forward to seeing you in the autumn xx”

Wow … So impressed with you Mr Jasper, and love the way you always take a smiley photo !  What a good boy you were …..  Looking forward to seeing you again soon.

gentle herbie

DSCN2608A Herbie 110514 cropped+(c)This beautiful little fellow is 2 year old Herbie, who lives with his mum and housemate in Stockport, Cheshire.

We’ve met up with Herbie a couple of times before, for grooming.  Today was just about nail clipping, as he and mum have really been able to keep on top of his coat since our last visit earlier this year.

Herbie is a very nervous guy, but we think he remembered that there was nothing too terrible about to happen !

Well done Herbie … Such a brave boy !  Looking forward to seeing you in the Autumn for your brush out.

house grasss anyone ?

7bdc736dd6947bd97eefafd3956f81f7[1] with sourceNow, what about this for a good idea, for an indoor cat ?  What do you thnk ?

Does anyone already do this ?

Come over and upload a piccie of your cat / grass, if you can on our facebook page

pretty maisie

DSCN2584A Maisie 080514 cropped+(c)This pretty lady came from a rescue centre to live with her new mum in Stretford, Manchester about 18 months ago.

We don’t know too much about Maisie’s past life, but she is a very gentle, nervous girl.  She normally makes herself scarce when visitors arrive but it was pleasing that we were able to meet and greet her whilst she lay on her bed, and she lifted her chin for a tickle.

DSCN2585We think that Maisie is around 14 years old.  She has a short coat, but doesn’t groom herself.  We think she may well have some arthritis in her joints these days.

Maisie lay patiently on the grooming table whilst we set about the session.  She doesn’t like being brushed in general, and had developed some clumps / tufts particularly around the lower back/flank areas.  Maisie was very vocal throughout most of the session and told us in no uncertain terms what she thought about the proceedings.  Here’s the hair that came away.

After the session, mum Jean said :

“Thanks Sandra for your excellent work with my foul mouthed Maisie !  I hope you remember those ancient Scottish words.  She is looking lovely and is very proud of her new look.”

Excellent !  Well done Maisie, you did really well chick ….

grumpy, anyone ?

37ab50aa91a31edf2341a4e1b954d281[1] with sourceHaha ….Funny !

Who knows Grumpy Cat ?  She’s a happy little soul (!) and she follows us on Twitter ….

Do you Tweet ? If so, come over and follow us follow us and we’ll follow you back.

Be good to see you over there too !

stunning konnie

DSCN2601A Konnie 100514 cropped+(c)It was really nice to meet up with Konnie again, in Warrington, Cheshire.

Konnie is a 3 year old tabby Maine Coon who we see on a regular basis.  She is a large lass weighing in at 7.5kg (17lb), and couldn’t be more gentle.  Her coat is in good condition, as we meet up regularly and mum is able to maintain with combing Konnie herself.

Although vocal at times on the grooming table, Konnie is now used to the sessions and knows what to expect.  She lay absolutely still – apart from obliging by stretching out the odd limb at the appropriate moment !  We think she enjoyed the music we played for her in the background, as she had her eyes closed and we think we woke her from her doze when we needed to reposition her !

Come over to our facebook page and see a short video clip of Konnie on the grooming table.  Note that the footage is a little shaky as it’s difficult to film and brush at the same time !

Well done Konnie !  Good work, and see you soon …
