beautiful betty
Here’s Betty ! We think that Betty’s around 5 years old and not a lot is know about her previous life as she was found dumped in a box. She’s been with her new mum and dad in Rochdale, Greater Manchester for about 12 months.
Betty’s coat is only short but it was starting to get a bit tufty on top – where Betty can’t reach as easily. Underneath, she doing a fine job !
A few days after the session, mum Elizabeth told us
“As you know, Betty was a rescue cat after being abandoned and ill treated. It has taken us some time to get her to trust us and she does not like being picked up and stroking her is on her terms only. We have been struggling to groom her and because she has a baggie belly she cannot reach some areas to groom herself. Betty also is troubled with the occasional fur ball. Betty was not the model cat in the grooming session however I was impressed with your patient and gentle approach throughout the session resulting in a bag of dead puddy fluff being removed from Betty. After the session she has been strutting her stuff, giving the impression that ‘she’s sexy and she knows it !’. Betty looks great, more streamlined and her fur shines, feels silky and there is no dandruff. Thank you Sandra. Please let me know when you have sorted out the March appointments as I would like to book Betty in ..”

gorgeous geoffrey
Now, you don’t know Geoffrey – but he’s such a character it won’t take you long to adore him.
Geoffrey is a black Maine Coon who hangs out in Altrincham, Cheshire with his family and quite a houseful of housemates. Oh, and actually it is his birthday this Saturday. 4 years old !
He’s a very inquisitive young man is Geoffrey. Likes to know what’s going on in his house. However, it’s fair to say that he wasn’t that keen on finding himself on the grooming table … and he wasn’t afraid to speak his mind ! Can’t really repeat it here, but you get the idea.
Anyhow, we worked through a few knots that needed to be removed – mainly underneath and around the trousers. Mum came into the session part way through, and that appeased Geoffrey a little. We sometimes find this helps – sometimes it doesn’t. We always play each session by ear.
Following the session, mum Lesley said
“It was a great pleasure to meet Sandra today. After a grooming experience that left me feeling rather uncomfortable my cats hadn’t been properly groomed for some time!! Sandra was so patient, kind and very gentle with the cats and me!! A very positive experience for all of us. Many, many thanks and hope to see you again if you’re brave enough!! Xxx”
After the session Geoffrey was sure strutting his stuff around the garden, looking very chilled !

cutie boris
Himalayan Persian Boris in Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire called us up to take a look at his coat.
As it turned out, He and his mum were well on top of it. Literally a brush through was all that was required, and not much dead coat came away at that.
Well done Boris ! Such a stunning little man !

This young man is our friend Evander. Hands up if you remember him ?!
Evander’s now almost 3 years old. He’s a Maine Coon and he’s quite a hefty guy, weighing in at over 9kg. You’ll find him in Rochdale, Lancashire with his mum and dad, and new baby sister Daisy (who is soooo gorgeous, by the way).
Evander’s coat needed some attention due to matting, and a good brush out elsewhere. The term ‘gentle giant’ could have been coined for Evander. Such a lovely, calm session.
Afterwards, mum Keela said
“We can’t thank Sandra enough for making our boy happy again. Following the arrival of our daughter 12 weeks ago, Evander’s grooming sadly became non existent and his fur became a terrible matted mess, we couldn’t even pet him without him becoming upset. I was so ashamed. Fear not though…Super Sandra arrived in the Cat Mobile and got to work on Evander. As Sandra worked her magic I could hear her singing, talking and reassuring Evander that everything would be ok and a couple of hours later it wasn’t OK, it was amazing! Evander looked liked a handsome young chap once again, even where he sadly had to be shaved during the session. Evander is now back to his happy, mischievous self and we are so grateful to Sandra and promise to keep on top of all your hard work 😉 “

sweet suki
Say big Hi to Suki, folks ! At almost 18 years old, Suki lives with her mum and housemate in Preston, Lancashire.
Although Suki’s coat is only short, it was very heavy as Suki has all but stopped self grooming these days. There’s was lots of dead hair that needed to come away and a few clumps here and there that needed woking through.
Suki let us work underneath for a few minutes first of all, to remove excess hair. Then we began work on her flanks and torso.
As the session progressed, Suki became less tolerent and make it clear that she’d had enough combing for one day, thank you very much. Well, she is almost 18 years old !
Well done Suki, you fared very well and we know you that you’ll be feeling more comfy for it.
lovely philip
Come and meet Philip in Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire. He lives there with his mum and dad, and quite a houseful of housemates.
This chick is the most sweet 4 year old young man you could meet. So gentle and affectionate – albeit a little timid.
Philip’s coat had become particularly matted around his sides, underneath and trousers/rear. So, the only way was to remove a large section of Philip’s coat for a fresh start.
We did this in stages, giving Philip breaks in the session … and we are sure that Philip is feeling like a new man now !
A few days after the session, mum Clair told us :
“… Thank you so much for sorting out his coat, Sandra. You did an amazing job. He’s a much happier baby now (and the others have got used to him being half his normal size lol) xx”
Really well done chick, such a brave boy !
the tyldesley ladies
We called in to see our 3 lady friends in Tyldesley, Greater Manchester recently – as they were due their regular manicure.
For those of you that don’t know Lucy, Jess and Rosie, they are very lucky girls. They have been with their new mum and dad for just a matter of months. They all arrived at different times, all from a rescue shelter and we think that 2 of them knew each other in a previous life. Anyhow, they’ve certainly fallen on their feet and are adored.
Rosie went first today, and sailed through the session. Then it was Jess’ turn, followed by Rosie. No fuss. Very brave, girls ! We know you are a little timid, but you’re coming out of your shells nicely !
Looking foward to seeing you again in a few weeks time, ladies !
mr pat cat
We called in again to see our little friend Pat Cat in Blackpool Lancashire. Who remembers Pat Cat ?
Pat Cat is an 8 year old Persian who is the most friendly, sweet man you could wish to meet.
His coat was in good need of a work through and we gave his a belly clip to ease the pressure under there (he’s not keen on being brushed underneath by mum).
It was a long session and Pat Cat’s tolerance was fantastic. Each session sees him become a little less fidgety.
We removed a tremendous amount of dead hair from Pat Cat’s coat and he now has a figure instead of just fluff !
Great session, Pat Cat !!
elegant jemima
This pretty lady is 3 year old Ragdoll Jemima, who hangs out with her family in Eccles, Manchester. Her family being her 3 daughters, as well as her human mum and dad.
Remember Jemima ? We last saw her about 4 months ago, when we called for a brush out. Mum reported that since our last visit, things had improved in that there was less hair found around the house, plus less hairballs. Just in the last 2 or 3 weeks had she seen an increase again. So, we decided to make Jemima’s appointments a little more regular going forward.
Today, Jemima’s coat was in good condition with just a couple of areas that needed working through with the clippers. Although a little fidgety, Jemima knew what to expect and was definitely more compliant than during our last visit.
We had a good brush out and removed lots of dead hair from Jemima’s coat. It’s this dead hair that ultimately, if it just sits there, begins to tangle and causes mats.
Well done chicky ! Looking forward to seeing you again soon …
persian athena
Two year old Persian Athena in Middleton, Manchester was ready for her clip when we called on her this time around.
Her coat wasn’t matted, but it is easier for both her and mum to manage when it’s short.
We did as much clipping as possible on all fours, then moved on. Athena is never delighted to lay on her side, but once there she relaxes whilst we get on with the session.
She was such a good girl. She told us a tale or two, and it was ever so interesting ……!
Well done Athena ! – It was so nice seeing you again !
Following Athena’s session (and her housemate Elvis’ session), mum Christina commented :
“I rescued him [Elvis] when he was a kitten and he is scared of most things apart from loves which he demands constantly ha ha. That’s why this service is a god send. I would never subject him to an outside groomer. To be able to have his maintenance clip in his own home is wonderful. He loves his new body Hun – thank you so much….. You did a fantastic job as per, they’re much happier without all that fur. They’ve been chilling in the back garden and playing when the mood takes them. They play more when cooler”
