miss lexie
Lexie – A new member of our gang !
Lexie hangs out (with her family) in Moston, Manchester. She is a 2 year old Maine Coon.
Her coat had become quite matted, particularly underneath, armpits, shoulders and around the rear quarters. We brushed out and saved where we could, and clipped away where we couldn’t.
Lexie relaxed into the Session well and we worked through with no fuss. A real good girl !
lovely lily
Here’s Lily from Preston, Lancashire.
At around 14 years old, Lily has a thick British Longhair coat which she’s not that keen on having groomed. She does suffer with arthritis these days, so finds her Sessions a little uncomfortable no doubt.
Today, we took a little away from Lily’s tummy for ease of maintenance, and thinned out her coat on top with a good brush out.
Here’s the young lady – topping up her tum after her Session.
dinky doo
Ten year old Persian Dinky in Bolton, Greater Manchester relaxed throughout her latest Lion Clip, to keep her enormous coat under control.
…. and, Oh – Was she pleased with herself after the Session ! Wash, pose, wash, pose, wash …and so it went on…!
Mum Yvonne later said
“Dinky is once again a miniature lion following a visit from EssentiallyPurrfect. As always, she was treated gently and kept calm throughout, even had music to soothe … Result again on stress free happy cat. Thank you ! xx”
our oliver
Here’s Persian Oliver from Winsford, Cheshire. Looking rather dapper after his latest maintenance Session.
A good boy as always, and feeling much comfier after his Belly Clip (which you can’t see under all the remaining fluff !).
jolly jasper
It was time to meet up with Jasper again in Stockport, Cheshire. Jasper and his big coat, that is !
Both Jasper and mum have been doing a good job looking after things, but Jasper was ready for his session there is no doubt.
As ever, Jasper was a very patient boy as we worked through. Very obliging – sticking out various limbs at the appropriate moment ! Thanks Jasper !
fluffy dorothy
New chick on the block, Dorothy from Preston, Lancashire joined our gang recently !
Dorothy is a 2 years old Ragdoll. As such she has a semi-long fluffycoat, which actually is being well maintained by both mum and Dorothy herself.
Today, no mats in sight – just flyaway hair as Dorothy was moulting significantly. A tidgey big fidgety, but not bad Dorothy ! Well done !
the urmston chicks
As always, it was lovely to meet up with the Urmston chicks for their maintenance manicures.
Oscar looked as dapper as ever with his blue bow tie (‘specially for visitors !). The two Oriental cross girls, Florence and Tiger-Lily, were pleased to perform their party trick after their sessions. Sitting to order, for their treats. We’ll have to get some footage to show you next time.
Nice seeing everyone again !
happy herbie
It’s been quite a while since we last met up with this little fellow.
This is Herbie from Stockport, Cheshire. Herbie’s around 4 years old now and oh, how he’s changed since his last session !
Herbie’s coat has become much fuller, and he’s gained so much more confidence. Whereas previously he’d be straight under the duvet after his session, today he hung around – mostly in the doorway, but a couple of almost cheeky moments when he stuck his head back through the door. So nice to see !
A very gentle session, as expected. Nice seeing you again, Herbie !
miss muffin
Here’s a new girl for you to meet. 16 year old Muffin from Cadihead, Greater Manchester.
Muffin is a little bit deaf and blind and really doesn’t like being handled. Her coat is generally thick (maybe some Persian in there somewhere ?) and she normally goes to the vets to be shaved under anaesthetic when it gets out of control.
Today, Muffin’s coat was pelted all over. Muffin wasn’t at all pleased to find herself on the grooming table. She was extremely vocal (that was loud, Muffin !) and demonstrative, but we clipped and clipped – until there was nothing left to clip ! Most of the coat came off in one piece. As soon as the Session was over, Muffin was evidently a happier girl. Immediately washing bits she hadn’t seen for a while !
A couple of days after the Session, mum Sheila got in touch and said “What have done with Muffin ! She is a different cat. Felt the cold a little yesterday but today she has been out in the sun enjoying herself. Grooming parts she hasn’t been able to reach lately (hairball yesterday) sat on my knee last night and looking very happy with life. Thank you, see you again,”
Sheila later left a Review on our Service saying “I contacted Sandra for an appointment when my 16 year old cat badly needed de matting. I usually take her to the vets but they have to sedate her. After a few dizzy spells and a visit to vets they only removed small clumps of matting rather than sedate her. What a mess! Her hair was restricting her movements and she was very fed up. So I pinned my hopes on someone that knew what they were doing grooming wise and loved cats. ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!! Sandra gave her a lion cut. No bites or scratches (well not many) NO sedation! She is acting like a 16 year old kitten and loving life again especially in this warm weather. I would recommend Sandra to any cat owner. Job well done and thank you”
Thanks so much, Sheila – and so happy for you, Muffin !
baby buster
Buster was due and ready for his maintenance clip in Chorlton, Manchester.
He’s never keen, but Buster managed to remain calm for the most part of the session. It’s that tickly underneath bit you don’t relish, eh Buster ?
