lovely lily
It was recently time for British Long Hair Lily’s maintenance session in Preston, Lancashire.
Lily has a very long, fluffy coat which is always ready for a good brush out.
Lily’s not too keen on the sessions – but we certainly had a bit of a breakthrough this time around. You see, Lily is 13 years old and we know she suffers from arthritis. She doesn’t at all like her back legs / front legs being touched. No doubt, because it’s uncomfortable for her. So, before this session Lily had her first dose of anti-inflamatory medicine from her vet – and it really did seem to make for a comfier session.
Well done Lily !

Maine Coon Misty, as ever, was ready and willing for her session in Oldham, Greater Manchester when we called on her recently.
At almost 2 years old Misty loves her grooming sessions. She (and her sister, Meascha) always begin a self groom whilst the gear is being set up, then she enjoys the fuss !
We removed a few tangles here and there and had a good brush out of that winter coat.
As always, a great session Misty !
acting like a kitten again
We called in again to see Persian Poppy in Accrington, Lancashire.
We last met up with Poppy some months ago, when she had her first clip. Extremely fidgety !
Today, another Lion Clip was on the cards. Poppy’s coat was matted in places and a brush out would not have worked. She really does not like any combing by mum or dad and her coat is that cotton wooly affair that knots easily. Here’s a piccie below of Poppy before the session began.
Overall, a much less fidgety session today. So well done Poppy !
Later, mum Debbie said
“Thank you for the time you spend grooming Poppy as you could see before you left she played a lot that day – all that fur must have been weighing her down. The biggest change in her is her attachment to me. She is a lot more affectionate and sitting on my knee at every opportunity. She also follows me to bed for a cuddle pawing me when she doesn’t get enough attention. She has also let me brush out her beard, as we call it, a few times now. She’s still not very happy about it but we are leaving her brush out so she gets used to it and now she doesn’t run away when she sees it. We will be in touch again (sooner this time)”

Sweet Mindy from Astley, Greater Manchester was ready for her manincure this time around
Quite a cautious girl, but ever so friendly.
Mindy knows just what it’s all about and it’s over before she knows it. No fuss.
Well done Mindy, nice seeing you again !
