Here’s Chinchilla Persian Bola from Preston, Lancashire. Who recognises this little lady ?

At 6 years old, Bola and her mum are well on top of Bola’s thick, Persian coat. However, we keep Bola’s coat in trim with a regular brush out.

Bola is used to her sessions and knows just what to expect. That doesn’t, however, means that she agrees ! Saying that, Bola obviously got out of bed on the right side today. She was in such a good mood ! We had a great session – a brush out …. and dare we say it mum Celia ? … Bola was actually quite chilled at times !

Come and say a big Hello to Jez. At just 20 years old, Jez is on top of her game !

Jez lives in Rawtenstall, Lancashire and is the most vocal – VOCAL – girl on the street. Miaow. Miaow. Miaow. It just went on and on …..

Jez had many mats and tufts around her body. Another groomer had tried to work through Jez’s coat, but had given up. Jez is very anxious and doesn’t tolerate new people well at all. However, we took it easy, at Jez’s pace (listening as we went along … Ooh – Yes Jez, that’s right Jez, totally agree Jez …. that kind of thing) and we’re so happy that Jez is now totally mat free and enjoying her new body.

Holly anyone ?

This 6 year old lass is from Padiham, Lancashire where she lives with her mum.

A most gentle lady who is usually very chatty. However today, Holly was quite quiet and very still on the grooming table. Our visit was overdue and her coat had become matted and clumpy, particularly down her sides.

On the grooming table, Holly sat exceptionally still, and didn’t utter very much at all. It really was as though she knew that today’s session was ultra important and that she needed to concentrate, too ! She didn’t mind with the brushing underneath either. So clever, Holly !

We always begin the session with Red reckoning he’d rather not, thank you !

Our session with 16 year old Maine Coon Hercules Champion in Kirkham, Lancashire was a couple of weeks overdue this time around – and it really showed in his coat.

Today, Hercules Champion’s coat was quite luggy in general with tight mats in places. Underneath, his coat wasn’t too bad – it was more in his sides and flanks where the knots were lying.

Hercules Champion is 16 years old and his attention span isn’t what it was. He soon gets fed up and wants to be off doing cat things but we always have lots of sweet talk and cuddles during our session and he usually sees reason.

He knows that he always looks and feels like a million dollars afterwards !

It was time to meet up again with Maine Coon Ted in Tockholes, Lancashire. At 3 years old, Ted is already a hefty, heavvvvy guy. He’s such a sweetie with it, though.

Last time we saw Ted was a few months ago. At that point, we took mats and pelts away to give Ted a fresh start.

Today – Well, Ted’s coat has grown back a treat. Ad-hoc mats underneath, throat and around the armpits were removed – but a much easier session for Ted … and as always, he was such a good, patient boy.

We called in to see our friend Dolly in Carnforth, Lancashire as she was due her maintenance groom.

Dolly is just 2 years old and a Persian cross – and she has the most long, fluffy coat to prove it.

She is such a sweet little girl. Not keen on being brushed by mum and dad, but they manage to keep her coat looking well. Just one or two mats needed to be removed underneath and around the rear – with the rest of Dolly’s coat benefiting from a good brush out.

Tom from Chorley, Lancashire called us up to arrange a session.

He’s around 12 years old, such a friendly guy and his coat was in lovely condition. He just wanted a trim around his rear quarters to make toileting a little easier.

Tom was good as gold whilst we worked on said area, and afterwards (all of 5 minutes ?) it was his priority that he topped up his tummy !

We met up with a new chick to join our crew. Teddi from Kendal, Cumbria. Teddi is around 4 years old and he’s a red Maine Coon.

A most gentle young man. A little bit apprehensive of strangers, but he liked to watch the set up from a distance….. However, once on the grooming table we think that secretly Teddi enjoyed the fuss. Oh, and ever so friendly !

We worked through Teddi’s coat and removed matted areas as necessary. What did Teddi think ? Well, he was as good as gold and we think he knew just what the session was about.

It was so nice to meet up with Chanel from Wigan, Greater Manchester. She’s had some health problems recently, but is stable – with lots of tlc from her family. Chanel is adored !

Chanel’s coat had become extremely clumpy, as she’s not been able to keep on top of it more recently. We began the session seeing if we could save any of it, but Chanel really wasn’t tolerant of the comb. Therefore, we had no choice but to clip, to give her a fresh start.

Quite a chatty young lady, Chanel ! In fact, our ears were buzzing with all she had to say !

We took as much as possible away on all 4s, as Chanel wasn’t keen on lying over to have her undercarriage tended to – but it had to be done. It was tough going, as the matting went low down Chanel’s legs/feet. She was such a star !  Do you like Chanel’s little Ugg boots ?!
