miss martha
Martha is quite a nervous girl who doesn’t enjoy being groomed. Hence, her coat had developed some clumping, particularly around her lower regions and down her back where she has difficulty reaching.
Martha was very fidgety and spent her time trying to leave the table. We combed out the tufts from around her flanks and lower back, but a strip needed to be clipped away from down her backbone as it was too matted to be detangled. Once Martha’s coat was brushed through, she tolerated the action much better as the comb just slid through like butter. We’re hoping that by mum grooming a little every day to keep Matha’s thick coat tuft free, she will in time learn to enjoy the process. Or, at least tolerate it.
After the session, mum Sharon said
“Martha is a lot happier, more loving and a lot more active and not scratching as much. She still isn’t loving me brushing her but I am persevering. I cannot thank you enough, you were so patient with her and I know she was a nightmare. I would highly recommend you. Thanks again.”
Thanks Sharon ! We know that it is no easy task combing each day when the subject isn’t willing to participate – so well done to both of you.
