gentle alfie
It was time to call on 6 year old Maine Coon Alfie again in Urmston, Manchester.
Alfie is quite a nervous young man, but sessions are definitely getting easier for him. Once he found himself sat on the grooming table, he chilled straightaway and was very amenable to having his belly tended to.
It’s always interesting working out what does or doesn’t work for the individual being groomed. In Alfie’s case, he really doesn’t like an elbow near his head, when his tummy’s being brushed. This might sound silly, but it’s a case of working out an alternative grooming position that Alfie’s more comfortable with. It makes all the difference for him.
Alfie’s coat was in good condition. A bit tangly, but mostly comb-able. He’s a big guy and there’s a lot of coat to get through and he became a little fidgety towards the end. However, a great session with a lovely boy.
