How sessions have changed for Charlie !miss molly
Gentle Molly from Lymm, Cheshire asked us to call in for her maintenance session. Who remembers Molly ?
Molly is around 2 years old now and she is a Siberian (Siberian Forest Cat).
Just a couple of tiny tangles removed underneath and a light brush out. Both mum and Molly have been doing a great job keeping top of things. The thickest part of Molly’s coat was her tail base and lower sides.
… and that black and white neighbouring cat disturbed Molly’s session once again ! As soon as Molly saw him/her in the garden, she just wanted to be out there too !!

We called in again on Macy in Manchester recently for her maintenance session. Macy is now 4 years old, and she’s a Maine Coon.
We had a brush out of Macy’s thickened-up-for-winter coat, and took away one or two knots that couldn’t be worked through.

lovely tilly
One of our friends – Tilly in Preston, Lancashire – was recently due her maintenance session.
Tilly knew alright what was going on and was patiently lying in the doorway watching whilst all the gear was set up. Then she did a disappearing act just as we were about to start !
However, on the grooming table, Tilly was relaxed and chatty. We combed underneath, removing just one or 2 tiny snags and combed through the rest of her coat. Tilly’s little trousers are growing back really nicely and are fluffy now !
Afterwards … A quick wash, top up of tummy and a flat out snooze on the cool flags. Tilly did the same (haha !).

mr milo
Who this Chinchilla Persian Millo from Barrow in Furness, Cumbria ? That’s right – It’s Milo.
We last saw Milo around 4 months ago. Today, Milo was quite knotty underneath his tummy and ad-hoc on top of his torso. We took a lot of hair away from underneath, but left as much coverage as possible as he does venture outside.
It was a very hot day and part way through the session we abandoned ship and moved the grooming table out into the garden. Milo’s was extra-fidgety today, but we’ll put at least some of it down to the temperature to give him the benefit of the doubt !
Overall, well done Milo !
pretty misty
It was time to see young Maine Coon Misty again, in Oldham, Greater Manchester. Misty now rolls in a just 12 months old.
Misty has been with her mum and dad in Oldham since she left her litter and was fortunate to move to her new home along with her littermate. The pair of them thoroughly enjoy their youth ! Chasing around and playing all day long ….
Although Misty is such a friendly little girl, and likes attention, she is not that keen on mum combing her. A couple of brush strokes and she’s off … Last session we clipped underneath, the armpits and rear quarters. Today, these areas were growing back nicely and just a couple of small areas underneath needed attention.
Misty obviously remembered our last visit and was much less apprehensive when we began clipping today. In fact she was very obliging with limbs – and sooo friendly with it. She licked our fingers and nose during the session as we had sweet talk and cuddles.
Looking forward to next time already, Misty !

Maine Coon Eloise in Hoghton, Lancashire asked us to call in again to have a look at her coat.
Eloise is now 2 years old, and is a hefty lass already. Maine Coons don’t reach maturity until 4-5 years old.
Eloise’s coat is thick and long, and has a tendency to mat easily. Particularly as she enjoys her play time out in the woods, and she comes home with twigs and bracken hidden away in there.
A few knotty areas underneath were removed, and a good brush out elsewhere to get her in the Spring mood were in order – and we’re sure that Eloise will be feeling lighter for it.
