sweet april
It was nice to meet up with Maine Coon April again in Manchester.
April looks after her coat very well, and she likes being groomed – so we had a quick brush out to check for any lugs (there were none, well done April !).
Looking good, April !
cutie callie
Here’s a new young lady to join us : Callie ! Callie is 2 years old and is a Siberian Forest Cat from Warrington, Cheshire.
Callie is a very gentle girl and mum and dad are doing a real good job keeping her coat in tip top condition.
We had a good brush out and worked through a couple of tangles from under Callie’s armpits.
After the session, dad Jamie said
“…Both girls have been showing off over Christmas with their coats. Callie has been more affectionate since grooming and Aleera has let Kat groom her since the session. She has been much happier. Thank you very much for an amazing job, and we will be in touch when they next need doing !”
Fantastic ! – Thanks Jamie ! (Aleera’s story will follow).
lovely ellie
10 year old Ellie from Warrington, Cheshire called us in once again for a brush out, and to remove a pelt that had formed on her back.
Ellie has only short hair, but she finds it difficult to groom her spinal / lower back area.
A vocal session was had, but overall this session was much easier for Ellie than on previous occasions. She certainly knew what to expect and made minimal fuss.
Nice seeing you again, Ellie ! Well done !
cutie simba

“Sandra is our third groomer we have tried for our young Persian cat. Thé search for thé perfect groomer is over. Such care was taken to save as much of our cats matted knots as possible. She spent hours on him without ever being forceful or rushing just using her calm presence and spécial cat music to keep thé little man contented. So much so that hé happily purred after three hours of grooming instead of thé usual trauma sleep off. Thanks Sandra, you are thé César Milan of thé cat grooming world. x”
sweet as fudge
21 year old Fudge from Astley, Greater Manchester asked us to call in on him again for his regular manicure.
We see Fudge every few weeks to keep on top of his nails, as he doesn’t exercise now quite as much as he used to. He is still quite active in that garden though, especially when the squirrels are around .. !
We had a quick comb through his lower coat as well, as it was starting to look a little tufty in places.
Saying all of that ….. Not bad for 21 years old Fudgey !!
kizzy whizz
Who remembers Persian Kizzy from Huyton, Merseyside ?
7 year old Kizzy (or Kizzy Whizz !) definitely finds her sessions easier these days. Her coat really was in need of a brush out, but mum is doing so well keeping on top of the situation. Kizzy naturally has an enormous coat.
Actually – we think that Kizzy enjoyed parts of the session. Lots of fuss around the ruff and sticking that bum up in the air. Em … tell tale signs, Kizzy …
Well done chick !
miss mitzi
Here’s our friend Mitzi from Wigan, Lancashire.
Who remembers Mitzi ??
Mitzi is the sweetest girl you could meet. She’s now about 10 years old and she has a lovely, long thick coat.
Today, we had a brushout and removed a couple of small mats from underneath.
Mitzi was such a good girl and we had a good chat throughout the session. Mitzi’s deaf these days, but she certainly still knows how to chat away !
Following the session, mum Sue said
“Sandra called to give Mitzi her Christmas “haircut” and as a result she looked gorgeous for the festivities !
Although Mitzi employed a few delaying tactics at first, she remembered Sandra has become one of her best friends. Sandra performed her usual skill, managing to deal with Mitzi’s difficult claws and underneath bits with hardly any protest from Mitzi. Another successful session !
gentle alex
6 year old Alex in Skelmersdale, Lancashire really was ready for his maintenance brush out when we called on him recently.
We first met up with Alex back in Sep 15. At that point, Alex’s coat had become pelted and we took away a large section around his rear quarters and lower back area.
Today, Alex’s coat is regrowing nicely. Not fully grown yet, but his coat in general had thickened up ready for winter and there was much resistance on this comb.
It was a more fidgety session than our first get together. Saying that, the room was very warm. It really is important in a session for the environment to be cool.
We’re sure that Alex will be feeling the benefit of his thinner coat. Nice seeing you again, Alex !
