baby bernard
We were asked to call in to meet little Persian Bernard from Timperley, Cheshire.
Just 7 months old, this little fellow. He’s a delight – and he has his own Facebook page and admirers ! ((Bernard the Cat”)
Bernard’s coat had become matted underneath as he’s not keen on mum and dad combing under there. The rest of his coat needed a good thinning out as it was carrying a lot of dead hair.
Very squirmy is young Bernard, but not a bad bone in his body. Hoping that he’s now letting mum and dad comb him a bit more … eh, Bernard ?
We later heard from mum Zoe who said
“Ah Bernard the cat is much happier when we comb him now. He actually likes it ! all thanks to essentiallypurrfect. You were just brilliant with him. Thank you from us and Bernard x”
Good stuff ! Well done Bernard !!
lovely athena
Athena was ready for her Lion Clip when we called in to see her again in Middleton, Greater Manchester. Her Persian coat was well on it’s way to growing out, following her last session.
A little fidgety on the grooming table, but Athena knows the score. She knows that she feels so much better afterwards, too !
little gizmo
Gizmo !
A sweeter little boy could not be found in the whole of Cheshire, never mind Cheadle. Very timid, but very sweet !
This 18 month old young chap is simply adored by his mum and family. One or two small tangles were removed from his coat, followed by a gentle brush out. Nice session !
Afterwards, mum Sarah said
“After the session, Gizmo is a completely different cat. I have never seen him so affectionate and playful. I was a bit nervous at first as Gizmo had a bad experience only a week before, making him and myself very nervous. He was very scared but Sandra spent time talking, and even singing to Gizmo before and throughout the session. Making him and myself feel more at ease. Sandra handle Gizmo in a kind, gentle and caring way. He now takes more pride in his appearance as his self grooming has also increased. Gizmo is free from all his knots and matted hair and is now a very happy little boy, all thanks to Sandra ! I could not be any happier, a big thank you from me and Gizmo”
Fantastic Sarah – thank you ! So pleased that Gizmo is a happy chappy ! Look after that young man !
soooo red
Siberian Forest Cat Red from Sandbach, Cheshire. Who remembers Red ?
Red’s ENORMOUS coat took a while to work through this session – although he is on a regular maintenance plan. His coat was full of twigs, bracken, mud and all sorts from the local fields. Plus, so much dead hair ! My goodness Red, you couldn’t have got more tangled up if you’d really tried !
However, as always – nice seeing you again fellow !
pretty tabitha
Siberian Forest Cat Tabitha in Chester, Cheshire enjoyed her recent maintenance session.
Tabitha’s coat is always in good condition as mum is well on top of it, however, it benefited from a brush out.
As usual, Tabitha was reluctant to come to the grooming table, but once there she behaved like a little star.
After the session, mum Helen said
“…Thank you so much for being so patient with Tabitha! She likes to do things on her own terms and our plans usually don’t fit in well with her! Very embarrassed that you had to see my bedroom floor to persuade her to come down! I won’t even mention her other disgrace!!!!! I hope she hasn’t scared you off cos she really benefits from your regular thorough brush out, especially since I still can’t get near her belly! Looking forward to seeing you in autumn to get her winter ready! xhx”
Nice seeing you again Tabitha !
elegant ella
Ella the Birman from Droylsden, Manchester was ready for her session when we met up again recently.
Ella has a thick coat and we worked through a few knots here and there, and brushed out the rest. She was definitely feeling a lot lighter afterwards.
Mum Sarah later said
“Thank you for grooming my Birman, Summer Breeze (Ella) so beautifully. Since the grooming session she is a lot happier and visibly more comfortable”
Fabby – thanks Sarah … and nice seeing you again Ella !
mr elvis
Elvis anyone ?
Elvis enjoyed his latest Lion Clip in Middleton, Manchester. He’s a Persian so his coat is naturally always so full – and he’s always a happy chappy with his short back and sides !
After the session, mum Christina said
“Fab job as always Hun thank you so much. He’s so much happier when his fur is clipped xx”
Looking good Elvis !
lovely chanel
We called in to see 15 year old Chanel from Wigan, Greater Manchester recently. Who remembers this lovely lady ?
Our first session was around Sep last year. Chanel’s coat had become tufty and matted in places so we took away a large part of it for a fresh start.
Today, that fresh start had worked a treat ! Chanel’s coat was growing back very nicely and was ready for a brush out. The undercarriage was quite thick, and her shoulders and legs were beginning to get a littleclumpy – but we were able to brush out without too much fuss.
Chanel told us a right tale throughout the session though and afterwards – oh, she was full of it … Unlike last time (when she went and sat quietly on her favourite cushion in the front room), she was in and out of the kitchen wanting to be part of the action during the clear up. Nosey !
After the session mums Milly and Michelle said
“… Chanel is very precious to us and Sandra has made her feel so much better. Since having her first groom and cut she’s been so much more active and comes upstairs more, she started eating more and wanting more cuddles. When Sandra came back Chanel was ready for another groom and Sandra did another great job. Chanel is a fragile old lady and Sandra took great care of her and worked at Chanel’s pace letting her rest when she needed too. Sandra and Chanel had a lovely conversation all the way through the groom and at the end Chanel had a lovely walk round showing off her swanky new coat. Thank you Sandra, excellent and caring service again. Thank you for helping our little treasure xxx Michelle and Milly xxx”
Looking a million dollars, Chanel !
miss misty
Misty, our friendly Maine Coon friend from Oldham, Greater Manchester was really READY for her session this time around. Her coat was looking sooooo big (her first real winter coat).
As ever, Misty was ever so obliging on the grooming table. We had a little chat and she did lots of washing, whilst we removed a few lumps and bumps, and brushed out her coat.
Nice session, Misty !
cutie radek
Persian Radek from Newton le Willows, Merseyside enjoyed his maintenance session recently.
On the previous visit we had clipped his coat short and today we decided to take it back again. Much easier in terms of maintenance for everyone concerned, than his natural, long flowing coat …
… and Radek has the figure for it ! Well done Radek !
