miss milly
It was petite Ragdoll Milly’s turn once again to find herself on the grooming table.
Milly has recently moved into a new house with her familly in Marsden, Yorkshire and heck, has she settled in so quickly. She was so chilled !
We’ve met up with Milly several times now and this was the first time that, after the session, Milly wanted fuss and was full of headbumps.
Nice seeing you again, Milly ! Really nice session chick !
happy harvey
Harvey from Prestwich, Manchester has been waiting very patiently to share his story with you !
He found his new mum about 4 years ago, after he’d been living in a garage. We think that Harvey is about 7 years old now.
We met up with Harvey as his coat had developed some lumps and bumps that needed attention. Underneath, flanks, rear quarters – you know, all the usual areas.
Harvey greeted us and we had introductions, and a bit of a fuss. Quite a smiley, friendly young man. However, he wasn’t as keen to find himself on the grooming table. He did his best to remove himself from the situation, telling us in no uncertain terms that he had other plans for the evening.
As the session progressed, Harvey settled some and we worked through, albeit still under protest.
Following the session, mum Sally said
“Harvey had his first session yesterday. He was quite vocal about the whole process and came up with a few new swear words!! Sandra was great – very calm and patient with him and we got through it in the end, with the help of a few treats. The result – he looks (and I’m sure feels) so much better. I am really pleased with the results and the fact that it was done without the need for anaesthetic – which is what the vet would do. He will be having another session later in the year. Thanks Sandra!”
Very brave Harvey – you did so well young man ! (The bottom piccie is of Harvey chilling during the evening, following his Session. Very pleased with himself !)
fluffy oliver
This young man is Oliver.
Oliver is a Birman and he hangs out in Stockport, Cheshire with his housemate and family. He’s around 5 years old now.
After a spell in the cattery, Oliver’s coat was in need of a good work through. It was quite clumpy all, over but particularly around his flanks and sides. We teased out where possible, but Oliver was a very sensitive young chap to any combing. He much preferred the clipper.
Fidgety but lovely, Oliver ! We’ll be seeing both you and your housemate in the Autumn. ‘Til then ….
bobby dazzler
It was nice to call in again on Maine Coon Bobby in Wilmslow, Cheshire.
Bobby is a big girl. She is just 3 years old, with a long thick coat which easily becomes tangled.
We had a thorough brush out today. Bobby was ridded of a few lumps and bumps – and a lot of dead hair !
Well done Bobby …. All ready for summer now ! See you again in a few weeks time !
mr red
A big shout out if you know Red ??!!
Red, a Siberian Forest Cat in Sandbach, Cheshire is a real friendly guy. He’s around 3 years old now and he has a big coat, that needs some looking after !
We meet up with Red on a regular basis and he is well used to his sessions. We always start fidgety. Then we move on to accepting. Then, at the end, Red needs to be removed from the table ! You love all the fuss really, Red !
Here’s Red – with his usual paw in the air !
3 beauties
The 3 Urmston chicks asked us to call in again for their regular manicure sessions.
Florence and Tiger-Lily – Oriental variants – were their usual gentle, lovely selves. Little fuss, and it was all over within a couple of minutes.
Oscar had prepared for the session. He was wearing his favourite bow tie, which comes out for visitors ! It suits him, and he knows it !
As always, nails were no fuss and he was soon settled on the grooming table asking – what next ? … no, that’s it Oscar, well done ! Hehe …
Nice see you again girls and guys !
dinky dolly
Here’s Dolly !
You’ve met Persian cross Dolly before. We see her regularly up in Carnforth, Lancashire to keep on top of her long, thick coat.
She’s not keen on mum and dad combing her, so her coat gets a few lugs here and there. Mainly underneath – those armpits, tummy, chester and rear.
Today, we made Dolly comfy and ridded her of hair from her coat she no longer needed. A much lighter coat for Summer Dolly – Well done chick !
exotic luigi
We called in on our our friend Exotic Longhair Luigi from Windermere, Cumbria again.
Luigi is always ready for a good brush out. His coat is sooooo thick ! See the piccie of the hair that came away this time. It’s supposed to be a summer groom, Luigi !
As always, Luigi was a good boy. He’s not keen, but his confidence has certainly grown. Originally, very nervous and fidgety. Now, he goes with the flow and snoozes through the most part !
gentle albert
Albert in Urmston, Manchester was due his regular manicure/pedicure recently.
Albert doesn’t play out really these days. He had an accident some time ago which has left him with restricted mobility. He doesn’t really weight bear on one front paw and therefore it’s important to keep on top of his nails as they don’t wear down the same anymore.
A very gentle boy, Albert makes no fuss and it’s all over before it’s begun. He’s not keen – ie. he’d rather not – but he knows it’s all for the best and we just get on with it.
Well done, Albert. You’re a star !
perfect peaches
A new girl on our patch is Peaches. Say Hello !
Peaches is a couple of years old and she is a British Shorthair variant in Northwich, Cheshire who has the thickest coat going ! Ready for a work through ? Yes !
Such a gentle lady, Peaches was so compliant and accommodating. We worked through her session and she took it all on board. Her belly clip, nails, hygiene trim, trousers, bib, pads – and of course a thorough brush out – no problem for Peaches. What a good girl !
A few days after our session, mum Rita said
“I was really pleased with you and how you handled Peaches. She was so relaxed with your approach towards her, which made me relaxed too. After you had gone she went straight to her toys and started playing with them, I’m also really pleased with her cut & she looks beautiful. Thanks so much & definitely would have you in future, look forward to seeing you soon”
