dear alex
Alex in Skelmersdale, Lancashire was ready for a good thinning out when we called in on him recently.
Alex has a lush, long coat which he find a little difficult to keep on top of. Saying that, mum has done a good job since we last met up.
Today, we took quite a lot of hair away for a summer look, and Alex was a such a good boy about it.
Nice seeing you Alex !
princess rani
This little lady is Rani ! Who remembers 12 years old Persian Rani from Burnage, Manchester ?
We last saw Rani in March this year. At that point, Rani’s coat was pelted and we took it away for a fresh start.
Well – A fresh start she had, and when we saw her today it was growing back beautifully. However, Rani doesn’t like being combed. Actually, it’s a bit stronger than that. Rani REALLY doesn’t like being combed !
So, today we took her coat back again as very soon it would have started to mat again.
Athough Rani wasn’t enamoured by the session, she definitely tolerated it better than last time. It was easier in that the coat came away more quickly (no pelts) and she remembered that the last session hadn’t been that bad afterall.
Well done Rani. You fared really well !
gentle holly
We called in on Holly in Padiham, Lancashire again recently.
Holly has a long, thick coat which she’s very good at looking after herself – but she is always ready for a brush out and one or two knots teasing out.
She’s a very sweet girl. Always ready to update us on local gossip – oh, and it does seem so busy in Padiham !
Nice seeing you again Holly !
boo boo
Here’s Siberian Forest Cat Boo in Wigan, Greater Manchester. Do you remember Boo ?
Boo is a biggggggg boy. Not sure how much he weighs, but would estimate 9-10 kg.
Today was Boo’s second session and he was so much more less fidgety about the whole affair. His coat was extremely thick and matted in parts. We brushed out what we could and clipped away the rest, with a Hygiene Trim to finish off the look.
Afterwards – feeling much lighter ! – Boo was a happy chappy !
miss freya
When we called in again to see Maine Coon Freya in Preston, Lancashire it was great to hear what had happened since our last visit.
Grooming with mum is now an activity to be enjoyed by both Freya and brother Kiwi – and they had done a great job keeping on top of Freya’s long thick coat.
Today ? A gentle, pampering session with a Hygiene Trim.
We know you enjoyed it Freya !
lovely thomas
It’s incredible how sessions have changed for Thomas in Wigan, Greater Manchester.
Not that he was every too upset about it – but now he’s just sooooooo chilled. Stretching out and really going with the flow.
Thomas has been doing a great job of looking after his coat and today was a lighter summer brush out with no knots to contend with.
Well done Thomas !
handsome bailey
The last time we called on Bailey from Chester, Cheshire we took away his full winter coat as it was too cloggy to comb through. It was to give him a fresh start as the Spring/Summer was approaching.
When we met up today, Bailey’s coat had surprisingly grown back quite slowly. His top coat was coming through quite nicely, whereas his undercoat was quite sparse. Maybe because of the time of year and it’s his summer coat that growing back.
We bet you make up for it soon Bailey ! We know that your winter coat is humongous !! In the meantime, enjoy the lighter look and maintenance !
fluffy harvey
Harvey from Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire !
We call in on Harvey to keep on top of his coat and nails on a regular basis. In fact, to keep on top of all of his toes ! Harvey is polydactyl, which means he has extra digits.
Always a thick coat – even in mid summer ! – Harvey was ready for his session today. We worked through and thinned him out which will keep him comfy for another few weeks.
pretty dusty
Dusty in Ashton in Makerfield, Wigan was ready for a manicure session when we called in on her recently.
At 8 years old, fluffy Dusty doesn’t wear them down like she used to, so needed a litte help.
Good as gold !
mrs noodles
Come and meet a new friend – Noodles ! We think that Noodles is around 14-16 years old and she lives in Knutsford, Cheshire.
Noodles has a long coat which had become quite pelted. There was no choice but remove the majority of it from her sides and underneath, for her comfort and a fresh start. On top, she got away with a brush out.
…… and what a good girl she was during her session. Wow, Noodles ! You really did know what was going on, didn’t you ?
A few days later mum Tracey said
“Noodles has been so much better – actually eating more and have mad half hour in the mornings. Going out more, also wanting cuddles. She jumps about the place like a gazell. Was getting my daughter ready for dance summer school – had her suitcase out. She decided it was her new toy, jumping in and out of it. Haha. Thank you”
