chilled charley
We met up with a new chick to join us – Charley.
Charley lives with her housemate and family in Bury, Lancashire and she’s around 4 years old.
Today, Charley enjoyed a Belly Clip, Hygiene Trim and Brush Out – removing dead hair and sprucing her up for Autumn and the impending darker (thicker) months.
Such a good girl – Charley got into the swing of things well. She had a couple of panicky moments, but chilled again whilst we worked through.
Mum Lysa later said
“Thank you so much for coming today to groom my two cats for their first ever professional groom. Your patience was much appreciated. I’m really happy with the job you’ve done and will definitely be using you again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you !”
Thanks so much, Lysa and well done Charley !
gentle ollie
It was time for Ollie’s maintenance Session in Liverpool, Merseyside recently.
Ollie is always such a good, obliging, relaxed, snoozy boy during his Session. The only time he shows any displeasure (when he manages to open an eye – or maybe a tiny weeny ‘grr’) is when his rear quarters are being attended to.
We worked through and removed so much dead hair, the pile was larger than Ollie himself. Wow ! You must be feeling fresh, Ollie !
petite daisy
We called in again to see Persian Daisy on the Wirral, to make her more comfy.
Daisy’s coat had developed areas that needed to be removed and we decided that the best approach for young Daisy was a Full Clip.
A little fidgety. Well, a bit more than “a little” – but as good as gold. It was so lovely see Daisy evidently more comfy after the Session, as she set about a mega self grooming session !
Following the Session, mum Fi said
“Just wanted to say thank you for sorting Daisy out and putting up with her strong will, haha. She slept very well last night and has been running round like a mad woman this morning. She is a very happy little girl now”
Fantastic to hear !
how old ? heck
We took a few lumps and bumps away from Jose’s coat recently (particulary his sides/flanks/undercarriage), when we met up in Edenfield, Greater Manchester.
We think that Jose is about 17 years old, but not too sure as he was living in the garden when he decided that this new pad was a better option – and that Yes, he’d move in. Ok ?
Well, Jose now wants for nothing. In fact, when we arrived this time mum Barbara asked if we wanted a drink – and promptly offered a glass of Jose’s bottled water ! Suppose, if it’s good enough for the cat ….!
We’ve seen Jose a few times now and, although he’d rather be doing something else, he lets us get on with sorting out this coat. He knows he feels like a new man afterwards !
A few days after the Session mum Barbara said
“Jose looks fine and is walking so much more easily without those terrible mats. Thank you for all your hard work.”
gentle oliver
It was lovely meeting up with British Longhair Oliver in Bolton, Greater Manchester once again for his maintenance clip.
Oliver is always a good boy. Fidgety – especially when it’s his tum in question – but a gentle lad who knows just what to expect from his Sessions.
We took his coat short again today and he was super pleased with himself straight away after the Session !
Looking great, Oliver !
baby meascha
Here’s young Maine Coon Meascha in Bury, Greater Manchester.
Meascha is around 2 years old now and, like her sister, she is such a friendlly girl.
She loves her Sessions, and snoozes and washes her way through. Always a good girl !
jolly jester
Maine Coon Jester from Bury, Greater Manchester enjoyed his first professional grooming Session recently.
At 2 years old, Jester is already a biiiiiigggg boy – but ever so gentle with it. He’s quite nervous until he’s sure what’s going on, then he begins to chill a bit.
We worked through and Jester got the hang of it after the first few minutes, and settled down into the Session. By the end of the Session, he was all limbered up and relaxed and quite amenable to having legs and arms manipulated !
After the Session, mum Donna said
“Thank you so much for your visit. Jester is now pamper perfect and is much happier without the matted fur”
sweet misty
Maine Coon Misty from Heywood, Greater Manchester was her usual friendly, inquisitive self when we called in to see her again recently.
She played her usual card whilst we set up the gear ….. She had a right good wash – just sprucing herself up for the Session !
Nice seeing you again Misty !
happy horatio
A Belly Clip and Brush Out were on the cards today, to smarten Horatio in Liverpool up once again.
Horatio’s coat was growing back nicely from his Full Clip at his last Session. Definitely a fluffy bunny !
We took away a lot of undercoat today during the brush out – and Horatio was a real good boy !
Here he is, feeling fresh after his Session.
ginger sam
Sam (aka Ginge) in Chorley, Lancashire found this second Session a little easier.
Ginge had been a stray, living in the garden, for quite a while. Quite a big boy, with a big attitude. Oh, lovely and friendly for head rubs – but another matter when a comb appears.
Saying that, today’s Session was much calmer than last time, so he did bring something away from it with him. Last time, was around 3 years ago. Both then and now, Ginge’s short coat had become matted and clumpy – particularly around his lower back.
We took the Session very gently – and with lots of fuss and sweet talk, which he enjoyed – we combed out larger sections, and clipped away a couple of small areas.
Afterwards ? Ginge went straight outside, around the back of the house and rolled around in the sunshine – Yes ! Right outside the patio doors where we’d held the Session. He was showing off and was well pleased with himself !
