ruby ruby ruby ruby
Birman Ruby from Stockport, Cheshire was adamant her Session wasn’t going to go ahead.
A nervous girl, 9 years old. Ruby’s coat was in great condition already. Very little to brush out and no tangles. Ruby couldn’t settle well enough on the grooming table to justify a full Session, with little gain.
Afterwards, however, Ruby was very pleased with herself sprawled out on the landing, cross armed !
such a star
Do you think that Starlord in Chester, Cheshire is looking pretty pleased with himself ? He knows he always looks great after his Belly Clip and Brush Out !
so pretty
Thanks so much for the lovely roses, Elsa – Janice and Jim ! Gorgeous ⚘xx
lovely lily
British Longhair Lily from Preston, Lancs – just after her latest maintenance Session. No smile from Lily on her photo shoot today !
ginger ginge
Today was the first Session with 15 year old Ginger in Liverpool, where he was noticeably calmer. Not all the way through, by any means – but we got to the table, and had a few minutes combing, eys and ears, before things heated up.
Ginger really doesn’t like his back, sides, rear quarters and tail being touched, nevermind combed. He never has done. So, we need to take it extra gentle with him thoughout.
It was nice to see Ginger’s coat looking so well today.
mrs mol
Persian Molly’s Session in St Helens was a mega brush out when we met up again recently.
Mum has done a fantastic job of keeping the knots at bay, but there was still a lottttt of excess floof to remove. See the pic !
The bottom right piccie is just before the Session began. On the bottom left, is the hair that came away.
fluffy tom
How is Thomas’ coat already thickening up for Winter ? He only just started thinning out a few weeks ago after a full on Spring and early Summer coat ??!!
No fuss today. Thomas in Wigan, Greater Manchester was his usual compliant self. More than complaint on the quiet. He loves a bit of sweet talk really !
lovely lola
It was great catching up again with Maine Coon Lola from Bury, Greater Manchester.
Lola’s coat had become matted in places so the best way forward was to take it away for a fresh start. The most difficult part of the Session was the work around Lola’s lower legs. It’s always a very bony area around there and clipping can be difficult if the mats are tight.
Although fidgety, Lola was a star. She wasn’t keen on the clippers around her head area, but coped well if she couldn’t see them/hear them as close by.
Following the Session, mum Zoe reported back ..
“Thank you so much for your help with Lola yesterday. As you know I had reached complete desperation with Lola’s coat. The size of the mats that came off whilst not unexpected, were a shock. Lola seems much happier. She is playful and cheeky and most unexpected I can touch her without her attacking me. I can even pick her up ! She had a good wash after but since then is actually cleaning herself less than normal.”
Great to hear. Maybe Lola feels the hard work is done and she’s on an easy ride for a while, Zoe ?!
beautiful bella
Chorlton Bella !
As a British Shorthair (BSH), Bella’s coat is short – but extremely dense. She is never keen on being combed, and objects strongly. However, some Sessions are louder than others. Today was probably one of Bella’s calmer Sessions.
… and we know you always feel better for your brush out, Bella !
jolly jester
An enorrrrrrrrmoussss Brush Out was on the cards recently for Maine Coon Jester in Bury, Greater Manchester.
Jester is quite a nervous guy on the quiet, but he now knows what his Sessions are all about and settles well on the grooming table.
Today was quite a Session ! See the hair that came away. Really well done, Jester !
