It was nice to see one of our regular customers – Hercules Champion in Kirkham, Lancashire – again.

Hercules Champion is a 14 year old Maine Coon who has a regular appointment schedule to keep on top of his thick coat.  Today it lovely to see him looking so relaxed about the whole proceedings.  He didn’t bat an eyelid as we clipped his nails, and began to comb underneath.

He had a few tangles starting to form, so the appointment was well timed – but it was nice that we were able to brush them out, and the clippers weren’t necessary.  The hair that had been clipped on previous appointments is growing back nicely and he’s now well on his way to a full coat again.

After the session he curled up by the fire, and settled down for a well earned kip !  Well – all that brushing does tire a boy out !

Mum Gerry later said :

“Hercules is so happy now after his groom.   He looks content, so much younger and his coat is looking really well.”

darling daisy

Meet Daisy.  From Wigan, Greater Manchester. 2 years old.  Very pretty.  A little timid, and very gentle in nature.

Daisy needed some help with her coat, so our Services were called upon.  We removed areas of hair that couldn’t be saved through matting, and she benefitted from a good brush out elsewhere.  Daisy’s coat is in good condition, and she’ll feel much more on top of looking after it now.

Well done Daisy  – you were a good girl !

april and macy

We called again on two of our favourite gorgeous Maine Coons from Manchester.  April (2.5 years old) and Macy at just 2 years old.

Both are such gentle girls.  Macy is outgoing, very playful and a little cheeky with it.  April is the larger of the 2 and a little quieter and more timid.

April (pictured on the left) settled into her session very quickly and after the first 5 minutes, purred her way through it.  It seemed she quickly remembered the last session and that actually, it wasn’t too bad !

Macy’s coat needed a little more working through.  Some small areas needed clipping, followed by a good brush out.  She was a little bit fidgety at times, but overall she did really well on the table.

See you again in a few weeks time, girls !

2014. Capped Travel Charges for our Services

As we now have a large customer base throughout the north west, from 1 January 2014 we are implementing a revised travel charge system.

Our Travel Costs still start at £25.  However, wherever you are based in the north west – if we agree to book a session with you – the most you will be charged for Travel is £40.  This will significantly benefit some customers who are located further away from us – for example on the Wirral, Liverpool, some areas of Cheshire and Cumbria.

hello 2014 !

2013 has been a brilliant year for us !

Meeting up and being able to work with all your little ones has been a true privilege.

We hope that everyone has a lovely New Year period and here’s to a fantastic 2014 for us all …

gorgeous erica

We called on this gorgeous 8 year old Blue Persian in Swinton, Manchester to have a work through her coat.  She had developed a few mats and tangles, and it was important to rid her of these and give her coat a good brush out.

Erica wasn’t overly pleased to find herself on the grooming table, however she reluctantly settled and allowed us to work though her coat with the clippers and combs with minimum fuss.

A couple of days after the session, dad Raymond told us that :

“Erica is definitely more happy and content now that she is rid of the matting in her coat.  She is much more comfortable”

Fantastic result !  It’s so nice to hear such positive feedback after a session.  That’s what it is all about – thanks Raymond !

gorgeous martha

This little lady from West Bradford, Lancashire is just 8 months old.  She is a Persian Chinchilla and as such has a lovely, thick fluffy coat.

Matha’s coat had recently developed a few tangles and mats and that’s the reason we were called in to help.  Our session was Martha’s first professional grooming session, and she was quite fidgety whilst we clipped and brushed.  Not nervous or frightened in the least – she is a strong character – she just would have preferred to have been doing something else, on her terms.

Martha knows she’s a pretty girl … !
