“Martha is a lot happier, more loving and a lot more active and not scratching as much. She still isn’t loving me brushing her but I am persevering. I cannot thank you enough, you were so patient with her and I know she was a nightmare. I would highly recommend you. Thanks again.”
mr dumble
Come and say a big Hello to this little fellow who lives in Chorley, Lancashire. Dumbledore is just 19 weeks old. Oh, and he’s quite a cutie ! … and Yes, he’s a Persian.
Dumbledore (or Dumble, as he’s know locally !) is the most sweet, friendly, playful, inquisitive, investigative, loving little man – with a big appetite !
Today, he was introduced to his first formal grooming session. It took him a while to settle and get into it, but towards the end he was more relaxed. Oh, but he did grumble throughout – such a lot to say for such a small guy ! … and he just has so much energy !
No knots to contend with, just a gentle brush out.
Nice meeting you Dumble !
Also, Dumble uses Instagram. If you do too, why not follow him ! His user name is : dumbledore_the_persian !! Let us know on our facebook page if you’ve been and had a look !!

It was nice to call in to see Miffy Cat again in Stockport, Cheshire.
Miffy is never enamoured by the ideo of a session, but today’s get together was the most chilled to date.
Miffy managed to keep quite patient whilst we tended to her tummy and under carriage. A few ad hoc knots were removed and lots of dead hair. She looked a lot lighter afterwards !
Great session Miffy ! Your coat looks so much more sleek and shiny !
gorgeous thomas
It was nice to call in on Thomas again, in Manchester. We think that Thomas is around 4-5 years old and he’s been with his new mum for around 12 months now.
We always say that as sessions occur, they usually become easier in terms of tolerence levels and interaction. This is certainly the case with Thomas.
During his first session some months ago, Thomas was a little fiery at times. Today’s session was so relaxed. Very calm and gentle all round. A little vocal around the rear quarters – but that was all really. It certainly helped that Thomas’ coat was in good condition … He’s been looking after it himself very well indeed.
Fabby session Thomas ! Well done !
handsome theo
Remember Theodore ? Or Theo, on a weekday ! He lives in Carnforth, Lancashire with his family.
Theo is almost 3 years old now and as a Persian has the most thick, high maintenance coat going. Unfortunately, Theo doesn’t like to be combed and his coat easily become tangled.
The first time we met up with Theo we had a brush out. It was a fidgety session, as Theo really doesn’t like to see the comb. For the second session, we decided on a Lion Clip for Theo. Again the session was fidgety, as Theo had decided he’d rather be anywhere else.
When we saw Theo this time around, things were much more relaxed. A Lion Clip again – but for parts of the session Theo sat still whilst we got to work. He’s still not keen on being clipped underneath – but a marked improvement in tolerence. In most cases, sessions do get easier over time.
Well done Theo. You did really well !
siberian victor
Our latest visit to see Siberian Forest Cat Victor in Salford, Manchester was on the agenda recently.
We’ve met up with Victor 4 times now, and each session is becoming easier for him. Initially verrrrrrry squirmy. Now, much more settled (just a couple of escape attempts !) and comfortable with the proceedings.
We took away quite a large portion of Victor’s coat, to make him more comfortable. The clippers don’t phase him a bit. In fact, the more we clip, the more he washes. He can’t help himself !
After the session, mum Anna said
“Just a little note to say thanks once again for your patience and excellent grooming/clipping skills when you came to see to Victor last weekend ! Despite the odd hiss and occasional escape attempt, I think he’s definitely learnt that it’s all for his own good, and has been prowling around with an extra spring in his step ever since. Thanks again – lovely to see you as always, and hopefully there’ll be no grumpiness at all from Victor next time! xx”
our tilly
11 year old Tilly from Preston, Lancashire enjoyed her maintenance session recently. We see Tilly regularly to keep on top of her coat as she’s no longer able to care for it fully herself.
Tilly has suffered from health problems over the last few years but it’s really pleasing to hear that since we met up for the first time at the start of this year, things have improved dramatically. Happier, playing out more, a little self grooming …. Fantastic !
Today’s session was a gentle brush out. Tilly’s coat is still growing back in parts from clipping earlier this year but we teased through a few areas that were thicker. It’ll be great to see her coat thickening up for the winter.
pretty poppy
We were asked to meet up with new chick 5 year old Grey Mackerel Maine Coon Poppy from Liverpool, Merseyside
Poppy is a Large girl – and unfortunately not at all acccepting of being groomed. It’s very hard work for mum. Poppy had developed a few ad hoc areas of matting, underneath and around the rear quarters – but she really didn’t want to part with them.
A very vocal girl, Poppy did everything within her power to call a halt to proceedings. However, we took away the offending areas and had a brush out of her remaining coat.
We know you’re feeling more comfy now, Poppy ! Well done !
the lovely luigi
Longhaired Exotic Luigi in Windermere, Cumbria was ready for his maintenance session when we met up again this time around. Saying that – he always is, even though we have a regular schedule. It’s amazing where all the hair comes from !!
Luigi is now well used to his sessions and although he’d rather being doing other cat things, he now knows just what to expect. Whereas in early sessions Luigi was very nervous and attempted to escape throughout, he now snoozes his way through groom. He’s a very flat face (like some Persians) and heck, he can snore well !
Nice seeing you again Luigi !
miss bobby
Say a big Hello to Bobby ! Bobby is a 2 year old classic tabby Maine Coon from Wilmslow, Cheshire.
Absolutely adored, this young lady has the run of the garden which she enjoys immensely – especially watching the cheeky squirrels who seem to delight in winding her up !
Bobby is quite a cautious young lady but it didn’t take long for us to become acquainted. Bobby then settled well on the grooming table and although we heard a low growl from time to time during the session, this really was low key and on the quiet she was relaxed and interested in what was going on in her garden from a different perspective (ie. from the table).
We worked through a few tangles and took away a few knots – and removed a lot of dead hair in the process !
Following the session, mum Lori and dad James said
“Many many thanks for coming yesterday and sorting Bobby out. We really enjoyed the experience and what a relief ! The whole way you went about the session, from setup and client management, expert focus and cat handling, attention to detail and hygiene – all superb. It was lovely to meet you too, and we look forward to seeing you well before another crisis can develop.”
Thanks guys … and such a star Bobby ! You’re all set to grow your winter coat now !
