gentle alex
6 year old Alex in Skelmersdale, Lancashire really was ready for his maintenance brush out when we called on him recently.
We first met up with Alex back in Sep 15. At that point, Alex’s coat had become pelted and we took away a large section around his rear quarters and lower back area.
Today, Alex’s coat is regrowing nicely. Not fully grown yet, but his coat in general had thickened up ready for winter and there was much resistance on this comb.
It was a more fidgety session than our first get together. Saying that, the room was very warm. It really is important in a session for the environment to be cool.
We’re sure that Alex will be feeling the benefit of his thinner coat. Nice seeing you again, Alex !

Sessions are definitely getting easier for Persian Skyfall in Altrincham, Cheshire. mr harry
It was nice to catch up again with Mr Harry in Huyton, Liverpool. Mr Harry is a Persian, and he’s 3 years old.miss dinky
We called in once again to see Persian Dinky in Bolton, Greater Manchester. Dinky is now 9 years old.“This is the second time I have used essentially purrfect and am so happy with the gentle and caring manner Sandra dealt the task of grooming and shaving one rather reluctant pet. My knotted feline friend hates being groomed by me, infact doesn’t allow me to do anything other than try and pull knots apart and that’s always when she knows she is fairly safe ie when I get in bed and ready for settling to sleep. I can shamefacedly say that I left the gap between grooming sessions far too long!! Sandra handled her so gently and put her (and myself) at great ease and the end result is that I now have a miniature lion who has been like a new creature again the last couple of weeks! Happy, contented, more playful and energetic and loves grooming herself again. The added bonus for me is less scratching and matted fur deposits around my home. I won’t make the mistake again of leaving it so long next time!! Essentially Purrfect are essential!!”
baby mia
Little Persian Mia was a good girl during her brush out session with belly clip, when we called in on her this time around. Actually, she’s always a good girl ! Mia is 6 years old and she lives in Nantwich, Cheshire.
Mia’s coat was thickening up for winter all right, but mum’s done well to keep on top of it since our last visit a few weeks ago.

14 year old Buffy lives in Ashton In Makerfield, Wigan.
Buffy isn’t that keen on being combed in general, hence a few knotted areas had developed, with a pelt down her back.
After the session, mum Sharon said
“Just to say a huge thank you to Sandra who came and groomed our cat Buffy. She had developed quite a number of matted knots and these needed to be clipped out. Buffy grumbled a lot throughout the process as it was something she was not used too but Sandra handled her extremely well. She is now a much happier cat. I would recommend Sandra if you are looking for someone to groom your cat.”

miss mary
We met up with a new young lady called Mary recently. Mary is just 12 months old and she lives in Altrincham, Cheshire with her housemate and family.
Breed ? Mary’s a British Short Hair, of course.
There was just a pedicure in store for Mary today and she took it all in her stride. No worries at all !
In fact, she’s just soooo nosey. All she wanted to do was sniff all the gear and do her best to get in all the bags !

Red. 2 years old. Siberian Forest Cat. Sandbach, Cheshire. You recognise him ?
Most definitely in need of his maintenance groom this month ! His coat has snowballed again since we last met up and we removed lots of tangles, knots and dead hair !!

mister luigi
It was time once again for Luigi’s maintenance groom. At 5 years old, Luigi is an Exotic and he lives in Windermere, Cumbria.
As an Exotic, Luigi’s coat is soooooo dense. We meet up regularly with him to keep on top of it, but it’s always a full on session with him looking much sleeker afterwards.
It’s always difficult to get a good piccie of Luigi – as he always closes his little eyes. In the piccie below, you can see part of the hair that came away, in the bottom left of the snap.
