It was time for Thomas’ maintenance session recently. Thomas lives with his mum and housemate in Manchester.
The first time we met up with 5 (?) year old Thomas, he wasn’t as keen as us on having a grooming session. He wasn’t afraid to be clear about it, either.
Since then, sessions have become much calmer for the young chap. He will happy stretch out and oblige with various limbs at the right time.
He still doesn’t let mum comb him, but thankfully he’s doing a real good job of keeping up with his long fluffy coat himself.

We caught up with our Maine Coon friend Cleo again in Stockport, Cheshire recently.
8 year old Cleo is such a gentle girl and she’s always so compliant during our sessions.
One or two areas needed to be removed, followed by a good brush out of her coat. We’ve never met up with Cleo at this time of the year before and today her coat was the thickest we’ve ever seen it.
Later, mum Amy said
“Thanks Sandra – she loves her grooming sessions with you xxx”

Come and meet Digby !
Digby is a 2 year old Norwegian Forest Cat (NFC) who lives with his housemate and mum and dad in Oldham, Greater Manchester.
Digby is a little bit timid ’til he gets to know you, but such a gentle guy. He was a bit of a fidget on the grooming table and because he’s quite a big guy – well, ok, he IS a big guy – with a thick coat, the session took a while. We split it, for Digby’s comfort. Oh, and treats helped focus his mind elsewhere !
After the session, mum Sharon said
“Thank you for getting Digby’s huge and unruly winter coat in tip top shape. Digby seems much more comfortable and looks fabulous. He is very pleased with it and has been very affectionate and playful since ! Absolutely fantastic job and you have a great way with Digby. Thanks!”
Thanks Sharon ! Now Digby knows what it’s all about, he’ll be as cool and still as a cucumber at his next session. Right, Digby ?

It was nice to catch up with Pat Cat again in Blackpool, Lancashire.
Pat Cat’s coat was in fantastic condition. He’s worked hard (as has mum !) to keep on top of it since our last visit.
A nice brush out – and no fidgeting ! Well done Pat Cat !
Later, mum Barbara said
“Pat Cat was thrilled with his session on Thursday. For the first time, he managed to avoid the clippers. He’s very content and his coat is now silky soft after his brush out. Thanks Sandra, you’re a star!”

Here’s a new guy to join us … 11 year old Persian Charlie from Ormskirk, Lancashire.
Charlie’s coat was particularly thick and knotty in places. It took a while to work through, and although Charlie is a lovely young man, he was gettting fed up as the session went on. Not a bad bone could be found in Charlie’s body – just fidgety !
Later, dad Geoff said
“Great to finally catch up with Sandra today, after an afternoons grooming my cats Charlie and Rosie are looking a hundred dollars , many thanks for a great job”
Thanks so much, Geoff and sure you’re feeling ever so comfy now Charlie ! Well done !

Maine Coon Nelson from Wilmslow, Cheshire was ready for his brush out when we called in on him again recently.
Who knows Nelson ?
Such a lovely young man. He’ll be almost 9 years old now. A few knots and tangles needed a work through, and a good brush out followed.
Mum Christina later said
“Thank you Sandra for another fantastic session! Nelson is a very happy boy now all those horrid knots are gone! Highly recommended x”

miss fluffy
Do you remember Fluffy in Thornton Cleveleys, Lancashire ?
Such a sweet girl. We think she’s around 14 years old. She was taken in by her mum and dad from the streets some years ago – and has never asked to leave the house since ! She knows which side her bread is buttered !
Last time we met up, we took away a fair portion of Fluffy’s coat which had become matted. Today, it was grown back ever so nicely.
We had a good brush out, and removed one or two small areas.
Great session, Fluffy ! See you again soon !

Our friend Maine Coon Hercules Champion in Kirkham, Lancashire was on our minds again recently.
We see 16 year old Hercules Champion on a regular basis as he really does need help with his coat – but he doesn’t allow mum to comb him. As his coat is so long, it’s always ready for a brush out and detangle – and often a few sections here and there need to be zipped away as Hercules C is sensitive these days.
Afterwards …. Looking great Herkie !!!

A new guy for you to meet : Bruce !
Bruce is a 3 year old Maine Coon from Blackburn, Lancashire. Although Bruce is a big guy, he is ever so gentle and friendly … and fidgety …. !
We decided to take away the majority of his coat to give him a fresh start, as it had become tangled in a couple of areas. He’s not keen on anyone working near his rear end (hence the knots), but he tolerated the clipping very well today.
Afterwards, he was back upstairs, peering into the session room – in disbelief ? Or just nosey ?
Later, mum and dad Rachael and Leigh said
“He has been very loving since your visit and has taken to cuddling up in bed with us. It took him a couple of days to get used to the idea of not having such a long coat but seems to be fine now. He has started washing himself more now he can reach also. Thanks for everything you did a fab job 🙂 “
