the main girl
Maine Coon Meascha enjoyed her latest maintenance session recently.
At 2 years old, Meascha really enjoys all the fuss.
She lays contently and so chilled whilst we worked through her coat – which was ready for it ! Lots of dead hair and a few knotty areas came away – and now she’s all ready for Spring !
mister monty
Here’s our friend Monty from Altrincham, Cheshire.
It was lovely to call again to see Maine Coon Monty and his housemates (and brother !) recently.
Monty is such a friendly, calm, gentle young man and his coat was in good condition. Just a brush through and removal of one or 2 small lugs and Monty was on his way.
Nice seeing you again, Monty !
lovely daisy
Persian Daisy from Bebington, The Wirral asked us to call in recently to have a look at her coat. Daisy hasn’t been with her new mum and dad very long and now has the life of luxury – which is great as she needs lots of TLC due to her rickets condition (Daisy is a bit wobbly on her back legs).
We began the session with a very squirmy Daisy. She chilled some as the session progressed and we removed mats from varous areas. Not afraid of the clippers, and much comfier sat up on all 4s without that tummy exposed. Such a good girl !
A few days after the session, mum Fi told us
“Daisy has been great, thank you for coming to see her … She’s been very happy with her new hair cut / groom and is a lot more comfier now, extra spring in her bounce now”
mr digby
It was time for Digby’s maintenance session again in Oldham, Greater Manchester.
Digby is a Norwegian Forest Cat and he’s around 2.5 years old now – and he’s quite a Large guy. In nature, Digby is a timid young man, although he did manage not to hide behind the sofa this time as all the gear was set up.
Digby’s coat was growing back nicely where we clipped last time we met up, however pelted areas had developed again around the flank/inner thigh area. This is often a difficult area for mum to comb (and is a thick part of the coat). The rest of Digby’s coat was vigorously brushed (as it was very thick) – and Digby was a star ! Well done Digby !
what a lovely guy
The last time we met up with Abu, he had his first Clip with us. Today, he knew what it was all about and what to expect. He took the session all in his stride. Oh, and we think he enjoyed some of the fussing along the way …. !
Abu is a Persian who now lives on The Wirral, Merseyside. He’s almost 10 years old now and was rescued from the Middle East.
Let’s just say he is adored and has the life of luxury !
If you nip over to our facebook page you can see just a very short video clip of Abu after his Session.
fluffy mitzy
Here’s Mitzy – a new girl to join us !
Mitzy lives in Bolton, Greater Manchester with her mum and dad. She’s a Ragdoll and she’s around 5 years old.
Not too keen on being groomed, we weren’t quite sure how Mitzy would interact during her session. We took away ad hoc knots and mats that couldn’t be worked through, and brushed out the rest of Mitzy’s coat. Although Mitzy would rather have been doing something else on her Sat afternoon off, she tolerated proceedings very well.
Afterwards, mum Sarah and dad Roy said
“Would just like to thank you for the grooming session. We were quite apprehensive about it as Mitzy is quite a timid cat especially with people she doesn’t know. We need not have bothered ! We can’t believe how calm she was. Not only did she look beautiful when you finished she was so relaxed. We look forward to her next session.”
Great to hear ! Looking forward to it too … !
miss mindy
It was nice to see Mindy again in Astley, Manchester.
Mindy was due her manicure, as she’s a house cat these days and doesn’t wear her nails down as she used to do.
No fuss. What a good girl !
such high spirits
Himalayan Persian Spirit enjoyed his maintenance session recently in Cheadle, Stockport, Cheshire.
He knows what to expect and was patient as we worked through his thick coat and took his belly hair back nice and short. Much easier to manage (we don’t think he even misses it !).
Here’s Spirit – Having a snooze on the grooming table at the end of his session …
miss pip
Piper in Darwen, Lancashire is the most friendly, loving girl you could meet. She has a long fluffy coat and needed help with it as it had become pelted in places.
However, Piper wasn’t quite as pleased to find herself on the grooming table. In fact, she went out of her way to persuade us that it wasn’t a good idea.
It was worth it though she said afterwards as that evening she was feeling much lighter and comfier – oh, and back to her happy little self.
Well done Piper !
mr red
Red. Siberian. Siberian Forest Cat. Sandbach. Cheshire.
You know Red, right ?
We had our regular session recently and as always, Red was such a good boy. Fidgety to begin with …. Asking him to leave the table at the end !
See you soon Red !
