teddy bear
Exotic Long Hair Mr Teddy Bear in Eastham on The Wirral was a real gent during his Lion Clip session recently. He always is !
Mr Teddy Bear knows what to expect and he sits very proudly whilst his long, thick coat falls away … and once again he can see some bits of his torso that have been under his enormous coat, and that he hasn’t reached for a while !
Nice session Ted ! Here’s piccies of Mr Teddy Bear – Before and After his session.
sweetie luigi
Here’s Exotic Long Hair Luigi from Windermere, Cumbria. Who remembers our friend Luigi ?
We meet up regularly as, although Luigi’s coat isn’t thatttttt long, it really is thattttttt thick ! It’s very plush and dense – like a British Short Hair, but longer. At each session, such a lot of hair comes away. It’s incredible just how Luigi can generate so much of it !
As always – well done Luigi !!
lovely lily
As always, British Long Hair Lily was ready for her maintenance session in Preston, Lancashire. Lily’s coat is ever so thick – and oh, ever so long !
We take some of her tummy hair back short these days to help as she’s not keen on being combed under there. On top, Lily isn’t quite as bothered and can tolerate a little attention.
At 13 years old, Lily has arthritis which make any manipulation uncomfortable for her around her joints. These days, she takes a little pain relief just before our sessions to make things a little easier for her.
Nice seeing you again, Lily !
the main man
The mighty Geoff was due his brush out recently.
Geoff is around 4 years old and you can find him in Altrincham, Cheshire. Yes – Geoff is a Maine Coon. Quite a big lad with it !
It’s fair to say that Geoff is never over pleased to find himself on the grooming table. Saying that, sessions have become slightly easier for him. Geoff now manages a good few minutes before he’s bored and he thinks that enough is enough.
Today, we removed just a couple of offending areas and had a brushout. His coat wasn’t too thick at all.
Nice seeing you, Geoff !
miss misty
We called in to meet up with Misty in Heywood, Great Manchester. Who remembers Misty ?
Such a sweet young girl, Misty loves a bit of fuss and sweet talk during her session. She was all ears, and spent her time watching the world go by whilst she was on the grooming table.
Nice session, Misty !
miss jess
Maine Coon Jessica was due her maintenance brush out recently. Jessica from Sale, Greater Manchester that is.
Jessica is 3 years old now and she is quite a hefty lass. Last time we saw her – during the Autumn last year – Jessica was quite slender. She’s filled out now. We removed a couple of offending areas and dead hair along the way.
A few days after the session, we heard from dad Mike who said
“.. she has been even more lively since you called. Must be like going to a spa .. See you later in the year ….”
It’s always nice to hear what happens next. To hear that Jessica is obviously feeling comfier and happier with her lighter coat is so typical. Good for you, Jessica !
mr theodore
Who remembers Theo ?
Theo is now almost 4 years old and, of course, he is a Persian. He lives with his family in Carnforth, Lancashire.
With the most full, cotton wool-ey coat you can imagine, Theo finds having his coat brushed a chore. Due to the texture, it is difficult to comb and in fact, Theo’s not at all keen. As a result his coat easily becomes matted.
So, the last few times we have met up with Theo, we have taken his coat short for an easier life all round. Theo usually chooses a Lion Clip (with a big lion-y mane left on), but today he preferred a Full Clip (short back and sides, as there were a few knots quite high up on his ruff and neck).
Now Theo is all comfy again and set for the Spring !
gentle oliver
Maine Coon Oliver from Altrincham, Cheshire was such a good boy during his recent maintenance session. He always is.
His coat was in great condition. Bits of garden stuck here and there – but we can deal with that ! A good brush through to get him in that Spring mood …..
No fuss – A nice session, Oliver !
a smokey boy
Smokey from The Wirral was such a chilled boy when we met up with him recently.
Oh, he told a good tale – and he thought about being outside in that sunshine once or twice – but secretly we know you loved all the fuss, Smokey !
Mum has done a good job keeping on top of Smokey’s fluffy coat during the winter months and today we just ridded him of lots of dead fluff.
Afterwards ? He sprawled around on the carpet, having a good wash and sorting himself out whilst we cleared up. Well done Smokey !
miss mabel
Meet Mabel ! Mabel is almost 1 year old and she lives with her mum in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.
Such an inquisitive girl, but quite nervous with it. On the table young Mabel was fidgety, but we worked through and clipped away a few offending areas and brushed through the rest of her coat for that Spring look !
Mum Diana later said
“Before her session with you, Mabel’s coat was becoming increasingly difficult to manage, due to the amount and thickness of her fur. There were quite a few tangles to work through too and Mabel is not the most cooperative of customers! Today, I’ve managed to give her another groom myself, using the tips that you gave. Your advice has proved extremely useful and I’m sure will help me to maintain her coat, until your next visit. I really appreciate your patience and determination to complete Mabel’s groom successfully and for being willing to commit to a later appointment, even though that meant a long journey home for you ! Thank you again. I will certainly be recommending your services to all the cat owners I know!”
