lovely lady !
We met a really lovely lady today, by chance. She heads up a local cat rescue centre. She was telling us that the centre is running a stall at a quarterly fayre, which is being held tomorrow. We don’t want to name her, without permission – but hope the day is a great success !
the love of a cat
As Charles Dickens said “What greater gift than the love of a cat?” To us, that really sums it up.
did you realise …?
Your cat continues to purr, whilst both inhaling and exhaling – whereas it is widely thought that big cats (such as the lynx, puma etc) can only manage a purr whilst exhaling. There is still much to be learnt about how and why cats purr. Some scientists even believe that big cats that roar, do not have the ability to purr. One thing is for sure though. A contented, purring cat on your lap is just so relaxing …!
all that hair from one cat ?!
You may think it’s incredible that all this dead hair came from grooming this one cat. This is why regular grooming is so important for the well being of your cat’s health. Contact us today and book an appointment. Your cat will thank you for it !

did you know ..? calico cats are usually female
Calico cats have a non-predictive pattern to their coat which is predominantly white, with 2 other colours. The 2 other colours are often orange and black. Calicos are more commonly known in the UK as tortoiseshells, and are usually female
is your cat embarressed ..?
It is generally thought that cats spend around 30-40% of their time grooming themselves. The grooming has psychological benefits, as well as what they perceive as cleaning themselves. Have you ever seen your cat do something silly, like fall off a chair when asleep, or bang into something when running around – only to then stop and start grooming themselves ? As if they are detracting from their embarressment ! This is because the act of grooming themself reduces conflict, frustration and anxiety.
