cutey cosmo
This young man is 7 years old Cosmo who lives in Southport, Lancashire.
Cosmo’s coat is short and dense – very much like a British Short Hair (BSH). It was Cosmo’s first professional groom and he behaved ever so well on the table. His nails were in need of a good trim as Cosmo is a house cat and therefore they don’t get worn down from day to day activity. In fact, he spends his time sharpening them !
He didn’t bat an eyelid whilst his nails were being clipped, then he was patient as we brushed out his coat. It was in very good condition – no knots or clumps – but was in need of ridding of loose hair.
Following the session, mum Jenny told us :
“Hi Sandra, Cosmo is great thanks. Brilliant service and treatment and can’t fault your approach and would definitely use you again.”
Thanks Jenny ! … and well done Cosmo, such a good boy !

The tail is an important communication tool for your cat.
Tail held high = Happy
Quivering tail = Mega-happy
End of tail twitch = Mildly annoyed
Lashing around tail = Extremely annoyed
lucky loki
This tiny girl has been given a new lease of life, since she was rescued from the streets where she was found starving. Loki has been in her new home for a couple of months now, and thankfully has come on in leaps and bounds.
Loki is a Persian and we think she’s about 2 years old, although she really is the size of a kitten. She is a sweet and trusting girl, to say we don’t know what she’s been through.
Her coat was extremely thick and matted in places, so it was time to give her a fresh start. Loki lay patiently on the table and wasn’t afraid one bit of the clippers. She didn’t particularly like having her tummy shaved, but she behaved well.
The groom and new coat has given her a new lease of life (although she wouldn’t pose for the camera !).
Straight after the session, she was up and down the living room as though a weight had been lifted off her. She’ll be much more in control now and mum and dad will be able to keep on top of the combing as her hair regrows.

The actions or appearance of the tail can also tell us so much about the cat’s mood.
handsome radek
Although it’s only a few weeks since we last saw Radek in Newton-le-Willows, Merseyside, his coat was ready for the thorough brush out out again.
Radek is a 5 year old Persian and he has the most dense, long coat you can imagine. On previous occasions we have clipped away small areas of mats, but today we were able to tease out any small tangles we came across.
Radek is a big, gentle guy by nature. The session was long whilst we brushed away, and he lay patiently for the most part – just getting a bit fidgety a couple of times and then settled again. Well, we did tell him it’s tough being such a handsome guy with such a fine coat !
At the photo shoot, following the session, Radek was really intent on giving us side profiles …. Such a modest guy !
february birthday babes
Here are some of our customers who are celebrating their birthdays in February.
Happy Birthday girls and boys !!
sweet rinoa
Meet Rinoa, a small Persian girl of around 8 months old.
This was Rinoa’s first professional groom, and she really got the hang of it from the start. It took her a matter of minutes to realise what was happening and Rinoa happily washed herself around her ruff, whilst we worked on the back quarters.
There were some areas that needed to be clipped away, and the rest of the coat was in need of a thorough brush out. Rinoa will definitely be feeling more comfy tonight !
Following the session, mum Laura from Liverpool, Merseyside said :
“I would just like to say how delighted I was with the service that Sandra gave to my 8 month old Persian cat, Rinoa. She has become very matted and tangled, and I was in a bit of a panic as to how I was going to resolve the problem. That’s when I Googled cat grooming, found Sandra and all her recommendations and called her right away. She was very confident that this problem could be resolved as it was something she deals with on a regular basis. I booked in with her ASAP, an…d could not be more happy with the results! She’s incredibly professional, and from the moment Rinoa met her she was at ease with her, which is rare as she’s not a fan of strangers. Sandra took her time an got to know her before even starting the session, then was incredibly caring and gentle with her throughout. Rinoa is now free from all her matts and tangles, and it back to being a happy little cat again. Thank you so much for all your hard work again Sandra, I honestly couldn’t be more grateful. Xo”
Result ! Really pleased that both Rinoa and mum are happy !!
did you know …?
Cats are superfecund (this is the fertilisation of two or more ova from the same cycle, from separate acts of mating)
This means that a female may mate with more than one male when she is in heat. This can result in different kittens in a litter having different fathers.
little dolly
Dolly. A 9 month old Persian cross.
Absolutely gorgeous !!
We called to take a look at her coat. We clipped away some areas that couldn’t be saved and brushed out the rest. This was Dolly’s first professional groom and she behaved very well on the table. It’s important to introduce grooming sessions young, so that it just becomes part of the norm for your cat.
Following the session, dad Ian and mum Joan from Carnforth, Lancashire said :
“Dolly is our 9 month old persian/cross kitten. She has never been groomed before but I even think she enjoyed the experience with Sandra. Dolly had problems with knotting in her fur and she , so we thought, was very timid. But, with what seemed little problem, Sandra had the situation under control. I have already pencilled her in for the next visit. DEFINITELY to be recommended.”
Thanks Ian ! Nice to meet you Dolly – see you again soon !
