hurry, to avoid disappointment !
Appointment slots for June 14 are quickly being booked up !
We’re going to contact existing customers shortly, who we think may need a June appointment. However, if you see this message first and you do need to book in, please get in touch as soon as possible. There really aren’t that many left, and we’re only half way through May….
Then you be smiling all the way … Like our Edward in Liverpool !!
our ollie
We were delighted to meet up with lovely Ollie again in Liverpool, Merseyside. Ollie is 3 years old and quite a big boy. Apart from a small tuxedo, his coat is black.
Ollie was holding on to a lot of dead winter coat, which was in need of a good work through. As Ollie is very tolerant of the comb, we were able to tease out many of the tangles and tufts that had developed. Some small areas were too tough and needed to be clipped away. See the piccie of the dead hair that was brushed out.
The session was very relaxed – to the point where Ollie had his eyes closed and was dozing. We think he enjoyed it !
Following the session, mum Barbara said :
“It was lovely to see Sandra yesterday and to see my Ollie after the session with her. Ollie had a few bad knots and clumps which I have tried to brush out without much success only receiving cuts and scratches off him. Sandra comes and what do you know – he’s a little angel for her. It just proves with her loving and caring manner our babies have true confidence in her and I can’t recommend her enough. Sandra you’re amazing – what would we all do without you ? Thanx again and see you soon love from us all x”
Thanks so much Barbara xx ! – and good boy Ollie …. See you again soon …..!
purrfect free range eggs
We called on one of our customers in Swinton last week, and met up again with James the cat.
James’ story and piccie will follow, in a few days.
For now, just want to say “Thanks, James”, for the lovely eggs you gave us from the chicks in your garden. They were v. tasty ! xx
handsome luigi
It’s only a matter of weeks since we last met up with Luigi, an Exotic with semi long hair who is 3 and a half years old. Luigi lives in Windermere on Bowness, Cumbria.
Although Luigi’s coat isn’t that long, it is extremely thick and needs to be brushed regularly to avoid mats forming. Luigi isn’t that keen on mum brushing him, which makes it a difficult task.
Today, his coat was quite clumpy and took some time to comb through. This was Luigi’s third session and although he is a little nervous by nature he obviously remembered previous get togethers, and was evidently more comfortable with the grooming. He was a little fidgety on 2 or 3 occasions, but for the most part lay quite patiently whilst we got to work.
We removed an awful lot of dead hair from his coat and there’s no doubt he will feel more comfy now. His coat looked gorgeous !
Really well done, Luigi. Such a brave boy and we’ll see you soon to keep on top of your coat….
gentle cleo
This gorgeous young lady is 5 year old Cleo who lives in Stockport, Cheshire.
Cleo is a Maine Coon, and as such is a large girl but quite slender with it. We were asked to meet up with Cleo as she had developed a few mats around her body which she needed some help with.
It took Cleo just a couple of minutes to settle on the grooming table and then she relaxed, listening to the soothing cat music we played for her, whilst we set to work on her coat. Cleo was really chilled and a model customer !
After the session, dad John said :
“Our first time using EssentiallyPurrfect and I was extremely impressed with how well the session went. Pro level grooming at its best 🙂 I couldn’t be impressed more with EssentiallyPurrfect after seeing the patient and meticulous care of Cleo. And the finished job was perfect. I’m sure Cleo will be feeling a whole lot better now relieved of the mats. 10 out of 10.“
Mum Amy told us :
“Yes, we were very happy, have used a few groomers before but weren’t very happy. She’s like a different cat now those matts have gone! Can’t believe how chilled out she was in the session too !”
Well done Cleo … Such a clever chick. It was nice working with you and so pleased you’re feeling happier with your coat !
do you like these ?
Do you ?
Come over to our facebook page and tell us what you think …. and see what others are saying.
lovely lionel
Meet Lionel – a Large 10 years old Lilac British Short Hair who lives in Stockport, Cheshire.
Our services were called upon as Lionel had developed areas of matting around his lower back and rear areas.
We brushed out and saved what was possible, but due to the severity of the clumps, together with Lionel’s tolerance level of the brushing, we clipped away a significant area on his lower back to make him comfortable.
Following the session, mum Pepita told us :
“Lionel is a much happier cat now, as are we. Thanks again for a great job ….”
Well done Lionel !
Florence and Tiger-Lily
We were delighted to call on 2 of our lovely girls again – Tiger-Lily and Florence – in Urmston, Manchester to clip nails.
The girls are 18 month old and are Oriental Shorthair mix sisters. Both girls are quite nervous by nature, but it’s nice to see that their confidence is growing with each session.
Fit, healthy cats that spend a lot of time outside generally naturally wear down their claws sufficiently.
However, indoor or elderly cats may need to have their claws trimmed regularly. Also, some cats have an extra toe (polydactyl) which doesn’t touch the ground (just like the normal dew claw) and may overgrow. If overgrown claws aren’t trimmed they can grow inwards into the pad and can be painful, and become infected.
Following on from the session, mum Eve told us :
“Thanks Sandra! You were amazing with them! See you soon! 🙂 xx”
Can’t wait ! Well done Tiger-Lily and Florence. Very brave !
could you be aisha’s new mum or dad …?

Aisha is 7 years old, and a more gentle, friendly girl you will not find. She loves affection – and loves being loved.
Aisha is used to being around small children, and she’s used to being an only cat – although this doesn’t necessarily mean this has to be the case going forward. Aisha has a long, full coat, which she’ll need some help with, brushing. However, as she lovvvvves being brushed, this shouldn’t be a chore – more like 1:1 special time !
If you think that perhaps you could be Aisha’s new mum or dad, or would like any more detail, please get in touch. She deserves a new, loving home.
