Sam (aka Ginge) in Chorley, Lancashire found this second Session a little easier.
Ginge had been a stray, living in the garden, for quite a while. Quite a big boy, with a big attitude. Oh, lovely and friendly for head rubs – but another matter when a comb appears.
Saying that, today’s Session was much calmer than last time, so he did bring something away from it with him. Last time, was around 3 years ago. Both then and now, Ginge’s short coat had become matted and clumpy – particularly around his lower back.
We took the Session very gently – and with lots of fuss and sweet talk, which he enjoyed – we combed out larger sections, and clipped away a couple of small areas.
Afterwards ? Ginge went straight outside, around the back of the house and rolled around in the sunshine – Yes ! Right outside the patio doors where we’d held the Session. He was showing off and was well pleased with himself !
