gentle bella
Catching up with Bella from Wigan, Greater Manchester was on the cards recently.
It’s a fair while since we last saw Bella, but she remembered the ropes and we had a mega defluff Session, with some clipping of problem areas for good measure.
Bella is quite a nervous girl and doesn’t look forward to her Sessions particularly. Afterwards ? Oh … Bella is ever so proud of herself ! Strutting her stuff !
poly ?
Who has seen a polydactyl cat ?
Polydactyly (or Polydactylism – or even Hyperdactyly) is a genetic defect which is fairly common in cats.
Cats usually have 5 toes (digits) on each front foot, and 4 on each back foot. A total of 18. If more are present, this is Polydactylism.
Here’s Harvey. Harvey is a polydactyl. Come over to our facebook page to see him strutting his stuff after his latest maintenance Session. A close Clip, to keep his thick coat short – as he really doesn’t like being combed.
Can you see Harvey’s feet ? Extra digits present !
our elvis
Here is Persian Elvis in Middleton, Greater Manchester’s latest story !
pretty misty
We met up with Maine Coon Misty in Oldham, Greater Manchester for her routine maintenance Session.
Misty’s coat is beginning to become just a little bit thicker now … showing we’re moving towards the darker, winter months.
Did you know that coat growth/shedding is triggered by daylight, rather than temperature. So, as the nights draw in and the days become shorter the Winter coat begins. Then in the Spring, as the day light becomes longer we see the big shed, ready for a lighter summer coat.
miss freya
Maine Coon Freya is always a good girl during her Sessions.
Having recently moved into her new home in Fence, Lancashire Freya has settled in mega quickly. Her Session today was very calm and gentle – with a little bit of fuss thrown in for good measure.
Well done Freya !
sweetie sosage
Gentle Sosage from Oldham, Greater Manchester was ready for a good brush out and tidy up recently, ready for her new winter coat growth.
We took some areas away around Sosage’s rear quarters and underneath – and removed LOTS of excess hair from elsewhere.
We know for certain that Sosage was immediately feeling better for her Session. What did she start to do, straight away afterwards ? A hugggggge wash ! (Mum can’t remember the last time Sosage had a washing Session).
Fabby !
sweet ella
It was great to see Persian Ella’s coat looking so full and so fine, when we caught up with her again in Preston, Lancashire.
When we saw her during the Spring, we had taken her pelted coat away for a fresh start.
Dad has been keeping on top of Ella’s coat very well, with combing each day. It’s a little more difficult underneath, as Ella’s not that keen.
Under there, Ella’s coat was just starting to mat in places. We took this away. In fact, Ella enjoyed a full Belly Clip to make life easier for the next few weeks.
Great Session, Ella !
young esta
Persian Esta’s Full Clip was an extra fidgety affair when we met up with her again in Oldham, Lancashire.
Esta has had a few teeth out since we last met up so she must be feeling more comfy – what with that, and her short coat.
Nice seeing you again, Esta.

Who remembers Molly Moppet from Sedbergh, Cumbria ?
Since we last met up, Molly has been in the wars. Very luckily, Molly was found at the side of the road by a neighbour, who raised the alarm. Thankfully, Molly has made a full recovery.
Today, Molly’s coat was ready for a Session. A fair amount of hair came away. Molly wasn’t keen on the idea – of one position in particular – but afterwards ? Oh, very pleased with herself !
(The tag around Molly’s neck is reflective, to help spot her)
pretty boy snowy
Snowy’s coat was extremely thick and pelted in parts when we met up with him in Preston, Lancashire this time around.
Large areas of coat underneath, around the flanks and Snowy’s rear were removed. However, Snowy’s coat is so long and fluffy it’s difficult to tell from his after piccie !
