a lovely lady
Come and meet Alaska !
Alaska is a Maine Coon from Leigh, Greater Manchester. We’ve met up with her housemate before, but today all the attention was on Alaska.
Good as gold ! A tidgy bit fidgety unti she got the hang of it but no fuss. We removed a few lumps and bumps and had a great brush out. See the piccie of the hair that came away !
Well done Alaska !
cheeky coco
7 month old Coco is only young, but she’s sure got a lot of character !
As a Persian, Coco’s coat is extremely thick and it’s important that she learns that day to day grooming is just going to be the way of life. At the moment, she’s not keen and has cheeky outbursts.
Today was the second time we’d met up with Coco. We took away much excess floof and shortened her coat around her rear quarters and trousers.
such a big girl
We took a few lugs away from Maine Coon Lizzie’s coat – and had a fair brush out to thin her coat out.
Did you know that a brushed out coat helps your cat regulate its temperature ? Cool air is allowed to be trapped within the coat when it’s free of lugs and excess floof. On the other hand, mats harbour heat and increase body temperature.
Lizzie in Altrincham, Cheshire was feeling much lighter after her Session and this will see her through for the coming months.
Nice seeing you again Lizzie !
mr milo
8 year old Milo really settled into his first professional groom in Bolton, Greater.
We’ve met up with Milo’s housemate previously, but today it was Milo’s turn for some attention too.
What breed is Milo ? He’s a Maine Coon of course.
A little vocal to begin with, but then Milo chilled and laid very amiably in whatever position was asked of him – whilst he had a wash at the same time ! (Think his mum was a little surprised when she saw the footage of this, as this wasn’t what she had expected !). Milo does have a cheeky streak to him, but all the fuss of the Sesssion overcame him and he was definitely in his element !
Top marks, Milo ! See the piccie of Milo. His lower tummy is wet, Where Milo had been helping !
urmston anyone
As always – catching up with The Urmston Chicks was on the cards recently.
You remember The Urmston Chicks ?
There are sisters Tiger-Lily and Florence of Oriental Shorthair Mix. Very inquisitive, intelligent girls – who have learnt one or 2 commands liking sitting to order.
… and young Oscar. We think Oscar may have some Maine Coon in him somewhere. A very friendly, confident boy who is lucky to have been adopted by this family a year or 2 ago.
Manicures all round today for these 3. No probs. Treats afterwards. Well done chicks !
sweet mol
It was nice to catch up once again with Exotic Shorthair Molly in Hale, Cheshire.
Molly’s coat was holding a lot of surplus floof that needed to be brushed out. Not clumpy, but just excessive.
Molly is a very gentle girl who is very compliant during her Sessions.
Great Session, Molly !
lovely logan
Logan in Glossop, Derbyshire was certainly ready for a de-lug and brush out when we caught up with him recently.
As usual, Logan was every so friendly before we began. Lick, lick, lick. What a welcome ! However, once on grooming table today, Logan decided that actually, he wasn’t in the mood. Much more fidgety than when we last me up, and quite determined that it wasn’t going to happen.
Anyhow, happen it did and a short time later Logan was feeling rather pleased with himself and his coat.
gentle hagrid
We met up with Hagrid recently, in Skelmersdale, Merseyside.
Hagrid is a very nervous guy in general. He’s only comfortable around his dad. He usually goes to the vets for his coat sorting but we decided to give a home session a try.
Very nervous initially on the grooming table, Hagrid managed to relax some. We took Hagrid’s tummy hair short, and his trews. Other than than, we had a good brush out.
Well done, Hagrid !
miss maisey
Who remembers this lovely lady from Rochdale ? Yes – It’s Maisey !
We called in again on Maisey to take a look at her nails. Maisey is a house cat, so she doesn’t wear them down as those who play out.
Maisey is a little nervous – but ignoring her does the trick. She couldn’t resist coming over and checking the bags out, sniffing the table etc – and wanting a pet ! We’ve sussed you, Maisey !
our ollie
Never before have we seen Maine Coon Oliver’s coat so thick !
We took away a few lugs – but brushed out a lottttt of hair that Oliver in Altrincham, Cheshire didn’t need to keep hold of.
Such a good boy – as always ! Nice seeing you Oliver !
