the urmston gang
Here’s Tiger Lily, Florence and Oscar from Urmston, Manchester. You know these chicks, right ?
We meet up regularly to keep their nails in check.
After the Sessions, treats all round. We’ll have to get the babes on video next time – doing their party trick of sitting to order !
hairy harvey
Harvey was his usual fluffy self when we caught up with him again in Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire.
Such a friendly boy, who’s always ready for a fuss. He came to meet and greet, and had a good nosey around the bags – although he already knew what was in them, and what was about to happen.
We took a lot of excess fluff away, and Harvey was soon looking smart again with his short back and sides.
miss mia
We met up with new chick Mia in Denton, Manchester recently.
Mia is 3 years old and she’s a Persian cross Ragdoll. So, she had a long, thiccccccck coat to contend with.
As Mia’s not keen on being combed, this can prove tricky and her coat was definitely ready for a good thinning out and removal of a few problem areas.
Due to the amount of work necessary (Mia is a big girl, too !), the Session was pretty hard going. So, we decided to break off and reconvene at a later date. This definitely benefitted Mia, whose demeanour was much less fidgety and much more relaxed during Phase 2.
It was lovely to hear from mum Wendy a few days after the Session. Wendy told us how things had improved ….
“…she is such a different little or should I say big lady since you groomed her. She lets me groom her without fuss, she lays down on the table for me with no struggling at all, she seems to really enjoy being brushed and also has gone really affectionate … have put this down to you building her confidence up and making her feel at ease …”
Fantastic stuff !
the tyldesley clan
The Tyldesley girls were all ready for their regular manicures when we called on them again recently.
Ready in that their little needles were long and sharp as anything. Ready in various degrees of willingness !
The 4 girls – Lucy, Rosie, Lily and Jess – now have a new housemate to get to know. Little Lila ! Little Lila who looks like a mini Jess !
Here are all the ladies ….! (Lila is far right, whilst Jess in bottom middle)
macy moo
Maine Coon Macy’s last Brush Out Session in Manchester was quite a heated affair once again.
Sessions do yo-yo for her, but she has certainly found the last 3 or 4 more difficult. More difficult in that she doesn’t want them to happen.
We’re going to try a Lion Clip on her next Session and see how we go. This will give Macy the benefit of a longer time frame between Sessions – and should also mean that by the next Session she remains mat free.
Looking forward to seeing you again soon, Macy !
azzie the lion
Aslan’s looking pretty fluffy here, following his latest Brush Out and Belly Clip.
Aslan from Warrington, Cheshire is well used to his Sessions now – and Yes, they are getting a little easier for him. Today, he even hovered around by the doorway afterwards. Not quite coming in. Not quite going out !
See you again soon Aslan !
gentle mindy
It was nice to catch up again with Mindy in Astley, Greater Manchester.
Mindy is a gentle, friendly girl. A little bit cautious until she’s sure what’s going on, but then wan’ts all the fuss and attention she can get.
A couple of minutes on the grooming table for her regular manicure/pedicure and she was sorted for another few weeks.
tiny vesper
It was nice to be asked to meet up with 18 month old Chinchilla Persian Vesper in Blackpool to help with her coat.
Vesper’s coat had become pelted in some areas, with ad hoc knots elsewhere.
Quite a fidgety Session, but not a bad bone in her little body. Vesper wasn’t at all afaid of the clippers and although it was quite a heavy going Session for her – removing tight pelts – she was a star !
Well done Vesper ! Pleased you’re so comfy now !
sylvester the cat
Sylvester. Bury. Manicure time.
A new guy to join us on the grooming table. Sylvester has had his nails clipped before, but trips to the vets are quite stressful affairs. So, mum decided to give a home visit a try.
Although it’s fair to say Sylvester wasn’t best pleased, he coped well. He did do his best to leave the table – but it was all over before his knew it, without much fuss. Well done, Sylvester.
14 years old ?! Nobody would guess, Sylvester !
such a sweetie
Ragdoll Halwa anyone ? Anyone know what Halwa means ?
Halwa really is her namesake – Sweet !
We worked through Halwa’s coat, removing just one or two knots here and there – and thinned her coat out nicely ready for Spring.
Great Session, Halwa ! Well done and nice seeing you again.
