such a gent
15 year old Garfield in Liverpool needed some help with his coat as, although it is short it had become significantly matted.
It was a difficult session for Garfield. He’s a lovely, friendly boy but his mats were tight and were particularly around his sides and flanks. We noticed that Garfield became hot (panting) very quickly at the start of the Session, he was extra fidgety and his heart beat was noticeably fast. Along with a tremendous appetite without weight gain and an unkempt coat, we decided after the Session that it would be as well just to get him an appointment to be checked out by the doc – as these can all be symptoms of thyroid problems. It turned out that Garfield does have an overactive thyroid (which is fairly common in elderly cats), and is now on medi to help stabilise it.
A few weeks after the Session, mum Chrstine got in touch to say
“Sandra, as you can see Garfield is looking and feeling so much better all thanks to you. Your patience and understanding of my elderly and sickly cat probably extended his life. I would have no hesitation to recommend your services to anyone THANK YOU xx”
So pleased to hear this news, Christine – and to see that your coat is growing back a treat, Garfield ! 🙂
young dexter
Who recognises Dexter ?
We meet up with Dexter in Manchester regularly, to keep on top of his long coat.
Here is is just after his latest Session, where we had just completed his maintenance clip. Feeling fresh, Dexter ?!
ted
We recently called in to see Brtish Longhair Teddy in Astley, Greater Manchester. This was Teddy’s first Session.
Teddy’s around 11 years old now – with a long, full, thiccccckkkk coat. Did we say thicccccckkk !
We worked out what was best for Teddy – ie. he was much less fidgety without mum present – and worked through his coat, removing lumps and bumps along the way.
A real gentle boy, who by the end of the Session was just so floppy and relaxed he couldn’t even open his eyes or sit up tall. Chilled or what ?
Great Session, Teddy !
definitely fluffy
Phoebe, looking chilled after her latest maintenance Session in Winsford, Cheshire.
Her coat here isn’t yet fully regrown as she had a Full Clip last time we met up. She’s looking rather fluffy though !
sweetie albie
Albert from Urmston, Greater Manchester really was ready for his maintenance Session recently.
He looks after his own coat, but needs help with his nails. He doesn’t play out like he used to since he had an accident, and now struggles with weight on his front paw.
As always, Albert was his gentle self and it was all over with no bother within a couple of mins.
Well done Albert !
friendly oliver
Maine Coon Oliver. Brown Tabby. 3 years old. Altrincham. Cheshire. A sweetie.
When we saw Oliver this time around, he had really been looking after his coat, since we last met up. Oh – bits of garden in his coat, here and there – and a couple of small areas that needed attention – but other than than, just a good brush out of his thick coat.
Nice seeing you again, Oliver !
pretty noodles
Our second visit to Noodles in Knutsford, Cheshire was a great Session.
Firstly, it was fantastic to see that Noodles’ coat had grown back to lovely. If you remember, we had to take away a large portion of it back in the summer.
Today, Noodles looked like a new woman ! Certainly not showing her 14-16 years !
Who thinks she’s looking good ?!
such a floof ball
Here’s fluffy Persian Oliver in Winsford, Cheshire – feeling a lot lighter after his Brush Out and Belly Clip.
It’s was so nice to meet up with Oliver again. He’s a nervous guy, but he sat in the living room when we arrived, and we even had a cuddle (normally he makes himself scarce) …. and he hung around afterwards !
Great strides, Oliver !
big boy geoffrey
Maine Coon Geoffrey in Altrincham, Cheshire is definitely finding his time on the grooming table easier, as Sessions go on.
Although he is obviously not over the moon (!), he now manages to remain quite calm at the start of the Session – before getting fed up and wanting go and do his usual cat stuff !
Today, Geoffrey’s coat wasn’t bad at all …. Just a couple of small areas that needed attention, and a brush out to remove dead hair.
Good Sess, Geoff !! Well done !
