jolly jester
Maine Coon Jester from Bury, Greater Manchester enjoyed his first professional grooming Session recently.
At 2 years old, Jester is already a biiiiiigggg boy – but ever so gentle with it. He’s quite nervous until he’s sure what’s going on, then he begins to chill a bit.
We worked through and Jester got the hang of it after the first few minutes, and settled down into the Session. By the end of the Session, he was all limbered up and relaxed and quite amenable to having legs and arms manipulated !
After the Session, mum Donna said
“Thank you so much for your visit. Jester is now pamper perfect and is much happier without the matted fur”
sweet misty
Maine Coon Misty from Heywood, Greater Manchester was her usual friendly, inquisitive self when we called in to see her again recently.
She played her usual card whilst we set up the gear ….. She had a right good wash – just sprucing herself up for the Session !
Nice seeing you again Misty !
happy horatio
A Belly Clip and Brush Out were on the cards today, to smarten Horatio in Liverpool up once again.
Horatio’s coat was growing back nicely from his Full Clip at his last Session. Definitely a fluffy bunny !
We took away a lot of undercoat today during the brush out – and Horatio was a real good boy !
Here he is, feeling fresh after his Session.
ginger sam
Sam (aka Ginge) in Chorley, Lancashire found this second Session a little easier.
Ginge had been a stray, living in the garden, for quite a while. Quite a big boy, with a big attitude. Oh, lovely and friendly for head rubs – but another matter when a comb appears.
Saying that, today’s Session was much calmer than last time, so he did bring something away from it with him. Last time, was around 3 years ago. Both then and now, Ginge’s short coat had become matted and clumpy – particularly around his lower back.
We took the Session very gently – and with lots of fuss and sweet talk, which he enjoyed – we combed out larger sections, and clipped away a couple of small areas.
Afterwards ? Ginge went straight outside, around the back of the house and rolled around in the sunshine – Yes ! Right outside the patio doors where we’d held the Session. He was showing off and was well pleased with himself !
miss molly
It’s 3 months since we last met up with Persian Molly on Merseyside. At that point, Molly enjoyed a Full Clip, to make her comfortable.
Today, 12 year old Molly’s coat was growing back nicely, and we had a brush out to remove undercoat. Even though the coat was short, it wasn’t an easy session as Molly has that cotton wool-ey coat that is difficult to comb (along the likes of Theo in Carnforth, Elvis in Middleton, and Poppy in Huncoat).
We’ll see how the next 4 weeks work for Molly in terms of her hair growth and if brushing can keep on top of it. Then we’ll decide whether to brush out again, or Clip.
Saying all of that, Molly was a star today ! ….. Here she is, smiling at the end of her Session – with the hair that came away. Well done Molly !
disco phil
Philip from Stockport, Cheshire needed a little help with his coat recently.
It’s a while since we last met up with Philip and his thick coat had become quite pelted from his mid section, backwards. There was no other way but to remove the offending area for a fresh start.
Philip is always a good boy, although he does have panicky moments interspersed with calm.
A few days after the session, mum Clair said
“Philip is very happy. We’ve started calling him Disco Phil because he looks like he’s wearing little disco boots ! xx” Haha – It’s true !
cutie cleo
Say a big Hi once again to Cleo, please !
Cleo of course is a Maine Coon and she lives with her family and housemate in Stockport, Cheshire.
Such a gentle girl – who does like some sweet talk and fuss along the way. Cleo was very obliging during her Session, stretching out the right bits at the right time ! Thanks Cleo – such a good help !
baby broccoli
Little Persian Broccoli in Manchester was a fidgety girl when we last met up with her recently.
She always a good girl, just wrigggggglllly. We took some mats away and brushed out the rest of her (longgggg) coat.
Mum Ciara later said
“Broccoli is so much happier now that you have removed all of her dreadlocks. Thanks once again for a professional, sensitive and patient session … no amount of diva antics seem to deter you. Broccoli’s coat looks perfect x”
Here she is, chilling after the Session.
gentle april
We called in again to see Maine Coon April in Manchester.
Such a gentle girl, April loves all the fuss that goes with a grooming session. Lots of purring and kneading as always, whilst her coat was being worked through.
Nice session, April !
