sweetie hobo
We were asked to call in to see 7 year old Hobo in Lostock Hall, Preston as he had developed pelted areas around his rear quarters and lower body (see bottom right piccie).
Mum was a little apprehensive about how Hobo would interact during his Session, but he was as good as gold. He definitely knew what was going on as the matted areas came away – and was, ohhh so chuffed with himself afterwards !
A few days later, mum June said
“Hello, just to let you know that Hobo (from Lostock Hall) is doing really well. He is allowing me to groom him for a few more minutes before hitting me ! He is also much more keen to groom himself now, as you said he would be. Many thanks for your valuable help.”
sweetie sookie
Sookie from the Wirral is feeling a whole lot more comfy after we removed her pelts.
Here she is before her Session (piccie below) and afterwards (left), feeling a whole lot lighter.
After the Session, mum Eileen said
“Had my 8 yr old long haired cat Sookie groomed today I have nothing but praise for the care she was given her coat was very pelted now she feels a million dollars thank you so much”
So pleased for you Sookie !
lovely Harley
Come and meet young Harley from Chorley, Lancashire.
Young ? Well, we think that Harley’s about 5 years old. We’re not too sure as Harley found his new mum and hasn’t looked back.
Harvey’s quite a nervous chap, but every so friendly. There were a few lumps and bumps that needed to come away, followed by a good brush out.
Fidgety, but a real good boy. Well done Harley !
gentle stanley
British Shorthair (BSH) Stanley once again benefited from a good brush out to freshen him up and make him lighter.
Stanley lives in Bolton, Greater Manchester. He’s around 8 years old now and is a very gentle, patient boy once he’s settled on the grooming table.
As a BSH, Stanley’s coat does get thick – and if left unbrushed would become clumpy. …. Oh, and we think on the quiet he enjoys a bit of fuss, don’t you Stanley ?!
fluffy boy !
Bailey’s coat was thickening up a little, when we met up with him this time around in Chester, Cheshire.
We had a very relaxed Session as we worked through Bailey’s coat and removed the excess undercoat that had built up.
No doubt when we next see Bailey he’ll be in full Winter coat mode – ie. tons of it !
cuddly teddy bear
Mr Teddy Bear from the Wirral …. Who recognises Mr Teddy Bear ?
Mr Teddy Bear is a Longhaired Exotic (in some circles, a Persian) – who has the most long, thick, fluffy, long – did we mention thick ? – coat you can imagine.
We know that he always feels better after his maintenance clip. Here he is, topping up his tum, straight after his Session (and the piccie on the top right is just before the Session).
Looking great, Mr Teddy Bear !
baby buffy
We saw our little friend Buffy again in Liverpool, Merseyside recently.
You may remember that Buffy is 19 years old now. The first time we met up with Buffy her coat was rather clumpy and we took away quite a large section for her comfort.
Today, Buffy’s nails were ready for attention again, and her coat had a work through. It’s growing back nicely which is lovey to see. It was really noticeable too that Buffy was much calmer on the grooming table which obviously because she’s feeling much better and comfier about herself.
See you again soon, Buffy !
wrriggggley Theo
Here’s a new guy to join our club – Chinchilla Persian Theo from Glossop, Derbyshire.
Theo is just 10 months old and has, as a Persian, a very thick long coat. Really not keen on being brushed, particularly underneath, Theo had developed a matted coat on his undercarriage.
One x Belly Clip and Brush Out later, Theo was feeling like a new chap. Oh, it had been a wrigggggggglllllllly Session – but all was forgiven as soon as his little feet hit the floor and Theo was free to carry on with his usual cat stuff.
Well done Theo !
beautiful betty
Here’s 6 year old Betty from Rochdale, Greater Manchester.
Today was Betty’s 3rd Session with us and everyone will agree that it was a much calmer affair.
Even though Betty’s coat is short, it was thickening up particularly around her upper chest, flanks and tail base. A lot of excess hair came away, for a end of summer groom. You must be feeling fresher, Betty !
mr red
Here’s Siberian Forest Cat Red from Sandbach, Cheshire.
Here he is – looking smart – after we’d worked through his long, thick coat and had removed lumps, bumps and a zillion sticky bobs !
Where on earth do you find them all, Red ?
