sweetie sosage
We met up again with Sosage recently in Wigan, Greater Manchester.
Sosage’s thick coat was ready for its maintenance session, there is no doubt …. A few tangles here and there were worked through, and a tidy up around the rear quarters to make life easier.
… and what a good girl Sosage was ! She really got into the swing of things and chilled out on the grooming table, enjoying all of the fuss.
Mum Judy later said
“Another BIG thankyou to Essentially Purrfect for making Sosage a happy cat again ! Sosage is a very timid puddy cat terrified of her own shadow, but after only 3 sessions with her Auntie Sandra she knows that its all good 🙂 she was loving her summer brush out getting rather comfy of the table……..She works wonders this lovely lady…….till next time Auntie Sandra x”
Such a great session ! Well done Sosage !
mr sky

Sky knows the score and he’s patient whilst we trim his tummy and brush out the rest of his coat. The part that he would rather miss out is his chest and ruff. Unusual. For most cats, this is one of the least offending areas.
Looking good Sky !
fluffy horatio

“I would like to thank you very much for grooming Horatio into his new Lion cut. He must feel a lot better in himself as he now has spring in his step. He is doing very well. Thanx Sandra. C u soon”

such a belle
Belle from Droylsden, Manchester was ready for her maintenance session once again.
We think Belle may have some Ragdoll in her. She’s around 6 years old. Belle really does have such an enormous coat and she suffers from coughing and hairballs.
Before we got to know Belle, she had always been to the vets for a de-mat under anaesthetic. She’s quite a fiery young lady and isn’t keen on being combed at all.
Today, was a much calmer affair than when we met up at the start of the year. Belle still had a lot to say – and Yes, she did have her moments – but they were intertwined with moments of calm.
We took a heck of a lot of dead hair away and she enjoyed a Belly Clip. Combing under there is very difficult, so it makes life much easier all round for everyone.
After the Session, mum Sarah said
“Belle is in her basket. She looks fabulous, I can see that a lot of fur has been removed, she looks so much smaller – and no coughing so far. ” Good stuff !
Sarah later added
“Sandra, she is like a different cat. She is so much happier in herself, purring much more, grooming herself much more. She has still be coughing, though not as much … Her quality of life is just so much better, she’s so much more relaxed and approaches me for a fuss a lot more as she knows I’m not going to try to comb her all the time which was painful. Thank you Sandra xx”
Big cheers for Belle ! Such a star !!
sweetie ollie
Ollie in Liverpool, Merseyside was such a good boy during his session, when we met up recenty. Then again, he always is.
We see Ollie on a regular basis, but his coat is always ready for a good brush out. We removed lots of excess hair, and took away a couple of small areas on his back which were too dense to comb through.
Afterwards ? Ollie looked a million dollars …Straight out into his garden, for a wash and a strut around !
molly moo
This was our 2nd visit to Persian Molly in Prescot, Merseyside.
Molly is 12 years old now, and needs even more help with her long thick coat these days. She also needs her nails checking regularly as they don’t wear down as they used to. Molly is a bit wobbly on her legs these days and doesn’t get too much exercise.
Last time we met Molly her coat was quite matted and we took it away for a fresh start. Today too, the coat needed to come away. The family reported that Molly had been much happier since our last visit, which was great to hear.
Today’s session was much less fidgety than last time. Molly obviously remembered proceedings and knew what to expect.
We’re going to schedule in regular sessions with Molly going forward, to keep her comfy. Nice seeing you again little girl !
miss milly
It was petite Ragdoll Milly’s turn once again to find herself on the grooming table.
Milly has recently moved into a new house with her familly in Marsden, Yorkshire and heck, has she settled in so quickly. She was so chilled !
We’ve met up with Milly several times now and this was the first time that, after the session, Milly wanted fuss and was full of headbumps.
Nice seeing you again, Milly ! Really nice session chick !
happy harvey
Harvey from Prestwich, Manchester has been waiting very patiently to share his story with you !
He found his new mum about 4 years ago, after he’d been living in a garage. We think that Harvey is about 7 years old now.
We met up with Harvey as his coat had developed some lumps and bumps that needed attention. Underneath, flanks, rear quarters – you know, all the usual areas.
Harvey greeted us and we had introductions, and a bit of a fuss. Quite a smiley, friendly young man. However, he wasn’t as keen to find himself on the grooming table. He did his best to remove himself from the situation, telling us in no uncertain terms that he had other plans for the evening.
As the session progressed, Harvey settled some and we worked through, albeit still under protest.
Following the session, mum Sally said
“Harvey had his first session yesterday. He was quite vocal about the whole process and came up with a few new swear words!! Sandra was great – very calm and patient with him and we got through it in the end, with the help of a few treats. The result – he looks (and I’m sure feels) so much better. I am really pleased with the results and the fact that it was done without the need for anaesthetic – which is what the vet would do. He will be having another session later in the year. Thanks Sandra!”
Very brave Harvey – you did so well young man ! (The bottom piccie is of Harvey chilling during the evening, following his Session. Very pleased with himself !)
