Gentle Hamish in Crewe, Cheshire was due his maintenance session recently.

Hamish is a bigggg boy. He is a Maine Coon. Maybe (?!?!) now he’s fully grown ? He’s just gone 4 years old. Maine Coons mature around 4-5 years old, but they do most of their growing in the first couple of years.

Wtih a coat in great condition, Hamish enjoyed a work through to remove dead hair and a tidy up around his rear quarters. Hamish was very amenable and lay patiently. A biggg boy = lots to comb through !

A new guy to join us : Boodles !

Boodles is a most friendly, inquisitive young man. He’s just around 12 months old and what breed is he … ? Yes, Boodles is a Maine Coon. He lives in Preston, Lancashire with his littermate and family.

Later, mum Steph said

“Thankyou so much for your patience with Boodles (boo boo).

He was in great need of his lumps and bumps of fluff being removed as they had really started to get bigger and irritate him. You were very calm and patient throughout, even with him being a wiggle bum! He is much happier now, grooming more, playing more and happier to be picked up. He looks much better! Thank you from Boo Boo and me x”

Come and meet Shadow !

Shadow is just 14 months old and he’s a Persian who lives with his brother and family in Southport, Lancashire.

This was Shadow’s first official groom and he was at first a little surprised to find himself the centre of attention. However, he settled whilst we worked through his coat – which was in great condition.

3 year old Maine Coon Merlin from Lowton, Greater Manchester was ready for his session !

Merlin’s coat was extremely thick all over. We brushed out and saved where possible but some of coat was too matted and therefore was clipped away.

A real good boy, for the most part Merlin lay patiently whilst we worked through. The session was long (bigggggg boy, big matted coat) and towards the end he did get rather fidgety, but it was understandable.

At last ! – 15 year old Bessie in Preston, Lancashire has been waiting patiently for her story to showcase !

This was the first time we’d met up with Bessie. She has a short coat – which was in great condition – but as she’s less active these days (her back legs are a bit creaky) her nails had become rather long. She sounded like she had high heels on as she strolled across the floor.

Bessie came to meet us in the hallway and lay contently on her rug whilst we set up the gear – purring and enjoying the chat along the way. Such a friendly girl !

Here’s Henry again ! Who remembers this young man ?

Henry is now around 3 years old and he’s from Chorley, Lancashire.

Breed ? Henry is a Ragamuffin.

For our Sessions, it’s really important that we have a cool atmosphere.

Here’s April from Manchester. You remember April, right ?

A Maine Coon and about 5 years old now. April is such a loving girl. She loves a fuss and she is ever so good at looking after her coat.

We worked through and took away a couple of areas that needed attention. Apart from that – April enjoyed the attention !

What little Persian Bo lacks in size, she makes up for in sound ! Vocal is an understatement ! Lots of it – and loud !!

Bo is 7 years old and is from Newton Le Willows, Merseyside. She lives there with her family and brother.

Her coat was thin, where a mat breaker had already taken away some of the offending areas. Quite wispy underneath, with a bit more work to do around her rear end, trousers and tail to make her comfy – with a brush through her remaining coat.

Come and say a big Hi to Freyja !

Freyja is a new girl to join us. Just 12 months old and she is, of course, a Maine Coon. Freyja lives in Preston, Lancashire with her littermate and mum.

Today was Freyja’s first professional groom. Mum does comb Freyja frequently but she was ready for a once over. We removed a few tangles from underneath and took her a little shorter around the rear to make life easier.
