baby bear
Maine Coon Bear was a real good boy during his latest maintenance session. Then again, he always is.
Bear is around 18 months old now and he is big boy already. Very playful and gentle, inquisitive and athletic. Typical Maine Coon !
We took a few clumps away and worked through the rest of his coat taking away dead hair along the way. Bear helped, washing that chest and front area whilst we attended to his lower regions.
Thanks Bear !
happy harvey
Here’s Harvey, folks ! Harvey from Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire that is.
A most friendly boy, we think that Harvey is around 9 years old now. He always comes to say Hello and has a bit of a fuss when we arrive. Harvey does love his fuss !
Although Harvey isn’t keen on his sessions – especially around those rear quarters – they have definitely become easier for him. He objects a little, and we have fidgety moments – but overall he tolerates very well these days. Which is just as well as he is a big boy, with a bigggg coat to match !
persian esta
We called in again to see Esta in Oldham, Greater Manchester.
When we first met up with Esta during the Spring of 2016 her coat was in need of a good work through. It was quite pelted in parts and we took it all away – ie. a Full Clip – for a fresh start.
Today, it was growing back nicely but soon to reach that stage where it’ was about to become difficult to comb again. To make life easier for Esta, and mum and dad, we decided to clip back again.
It was a much easier session than last time as the coat wasn’t matted and came away quite easily.
Well done Esta !
young ghost
This sweet little man is 14 month old Persian Ghost from Southport, Lancashire. Sweet, but Ghost definitely thinks he’s in charge !
Ghost’s coat was in great condition with just a couple of small areas that needed attention – followed by a good brush out to rid him of lots of excess hair.
The session was quite a loud affair, with Ghost telling us in no uncertain terms that he’d rather not, thank you very much. Later, as he was bribed with magical treats, he changed his view and said it wasn’t that bad after all ! Not a murmur !
After the session, Ghost was ever so friendly and nosey …and he was a real good help with the clearing up !
fluffy lily
Lily had such a settled session when we met up with her recently in Preston, Lancashire.
Lily the Birman has been with her new mum and dad for around 5 months now – and is now really settling into her new life. It’s taken her a while, but slowly her confidence and her wanting of fuss and human company has grown.
Today was Lily’s 3rd session and she was a star ! So chilled !
Her coat was in lovely condition as she now lets mum and dad comb. Real strides have been made ! Well done Lily !
lovely lancelot
A new member of our gang : Lancelot ! Lancelot from Halifax, Yorkshire that is.
Lancelot is a 4 year old Silver Tabby Maine Coon.
Quite nervous on the grooming table, Lancelot decided quite quickly that a session wasn’t really for him and he did everything within his power to call it to a halt.
We removed a few ad hoc mats from Lancelot’s chest, armpits and rear quarters, and took away a substantial amount of dead hair. See the piccie of the hair (on the floor under the radiator, as a measure).
We know that Lancelot will benefit from the session and are hoping that next time will be a calmer affair. See you soon, Lancelot !
miss suri
We called in on Persian Suri again in Oldham, Greater Manchester for her maintenance clip.
Suri knew what it was all about, and it was a much easier session for her than last time, as today we didn’t have mats or pelts to contend with. The hair fell away nicely.
Afterwards – Suri was feeling rather proud of herself once again !
yummy !
Emmm … Many thanks to Halwa and Sabih (and mum Laika, of course) for the delicious homemade macaroons.
As you can see mum, one down – 5 to go ! Yummy ! Thank you !
sweetie simba
Here’s Persian Simba from Didsbury, Manchester once again. Who remembers this little man ?
When we met up this time around Simba’s coat had become quite matted in some areas. We took it away for a fresh start for Simba to make him more comfy.
Was Simba a little star ? Yes ! A little bit fidgety (it was a very hot session / hot day, so that didn’t help) but he knew that soon he’d be feeling much better for his trouble.
See you again soon, Simba – all being well, for a brush out next time.
the main guy
At last, Kiwi … It’s your Pin Up day !
Kiwi hangs out in Preston, Lancashire. He’s a Maine Coon of course, and he is around 12 months old now.
Mum combs Kiwi, but he’s not too keen on his underneath bits being interfered with. Therefore, a couple of lugs had developed under there. On top, not too thick at all – but ready for a good brush out.
We had a gentle session. Kiwi was a good boy as we worked through. His least favourite part of the session was definitely working around his rear and trousers, but he was a star !
After the session, mum Alex said
“.. just to say a massive thanks to you. Kiwi and Freyja are like different kitz, I’ve been grooming them using your tips and techniques and not one claw or bite !! That comb is brilliant ! Thank you so much … super happy chilled household here ! …
