mr thomas
Sessions are definitely getting easier for 5 year old Thomas in Wigan, Greater Manchester. Each time we meet up, he’s a little more chilled about the whole affair.
Thomas and mum have done well keeping on top of Thomas’ coat since our last visit and today was all about a brush out.
Great session, Thomas !
little miss scruffy
It was great to be able to help Scruffy in Stretford, Manchester with her coat.
Scruffy is around 9 years old and she’s such a timid girl. So timid in fact that when she went to the vets for anaesthetic for a de-mat, they were unable to put her under. She totally lost it, due to fear.
For the first few minutes of our session, Scruffy was scared of the clippers – but she soon got used to the sound. When she then realised it didn’t hurt when the clippers touched her skin, she eased a lot.
Very fidgety throughout – and no, she wouldn’t lie down ! – but we managed to work through the pelts and make her a very much lighter, comfier girl.
After the session, mum Mary said
“Hi Sandra! Would like to say a massive thank you for the amazing job you did with Scruffy! cant thank you enough for the time and patience you showed when cutting scruffys coat! she is recovering well haha and is full of extra energy now that she has less weight on her! Will be recommending you to everyone i know! Big thanks and hugs Mary and Scruffy”
Top marks, Scruffy ! So brave !
oooh so fluffy
14 year old Fluffy from Thornton Cleveleys, Lancashire called us up again recently to remind that her maintenance session was due !
We removed a few small mats from Fluffy’s tummy and armpits which had formed over the last few weeks and took the area around her rear quarters a little shorter to make life easier all round.
Fluffy was a little chatty during her session and spent some of the time checking up on what was going on on the crescent. Oooh, all so interesting out there .. !
Nice seeing you again, Fluffy !
pretty kizzy
Kizzy Whizz. Persian. Huyton. Liverpool. 7 years old. Remember Kizzy ?
It’s lovely to hear that Kizzy is a much happier young lady since we first met up with her about 18 months ago.
Kizzy naturally has the most thick, difficult to comb coat. As she didn’t like being brushed, her coat easily became matted and she no doubt felt uncomfortable with it.
Over the last 18 months, with regular sessions – and Kizzy feeling great about herself ! – Kizzy’s coat is under control and Kizzy is obviously so much more comfy.
Lovely to hear ! Nice session Kizzy !
from the sky
We caught up again with Skyfall who lives in Altrincham, Cheshire. Sky is around 3 years old now and he is, of course, a Persian. A Himalayan Persian.
How things have progressed for young Sky. The first time we met up – which was about 6 months ago – Sky really wasn’t for being brushed. He objected quite strongly and this was making it difficult for mum to keep on top of his thick coat.
Since then, with regular sessions and a daily routine from mum, Sky has learnt to accept that it’s not a choice thing ! His coat has now regrown fully and looks really well. He’s still not as keen on underneath being tended to – so he routinely has a Belly Clip – but on top ? Wow Sky ! You’re looking great !!
as white as snow
Snowy in Little Hoole, Lancashire needed help with removing a few lugs from his tummy and armpits – but apart from that he’d done a real good job of keeping on top of his coat. Really, as white as snow !
As always, Snowy (or Snowball on a Sunday) relaxed into the session and actually, he enjoyed some of the attention – even though he wouldn’t admit it to you !
Nice seeing you again Snowy !
part burmese ?
It’s a while since we last met up with Molly from Urmston, Manchester.
When we saw her again this time around, her coat was definitely ready for the Session ! Molly is short haired, but every so thick. We think she may have some Burmese in her, somewhere. It had become extremely tufty and clumpy – particularly around her flanks, rear quarters and trousers.
Molly’s not keen on being brushed. She’d much rather be out in that garden, chilling. However, she was a good girl and humoured us whilst we got on with ridding her of all that excess hair. Lots and lots of dead hair.
Nice seeing you again, Molly !
miss meeko
We were asked to meet up with Meeko in Didsbury, Manchester.
Meeko is quite a nervous 4 year old Maine Coon, until she gets to know you. It took Meeko a couple of minutes to settle on the grooming table, before she relaxed into the session.
We clipped away some offending lumps and bumps – mainly from underneath and around her flanks – and gave the rest of her coat a good brush out.
Great session, Meeko !
little mary
Little British Short Hair Mary enjoyed her latest manicure. Enjoyed as in she sat and intently watched the goings on in her garden in Altrincham, Cheshire – from a high up vantage point on the grooming table !
Oh – and the nails ?! – That was just a side activity of little interest to young Mary. The birds took precedence !
mr harry
Here’s Mr Harry from Huyton, Merseyside. Hands up if you remember Mr Harry !!
At just 4 years old, Mr H is the sweetest Persian boy you could meet. Inquisitive, loving and friendly. A bit of a fidget today, but nothing that a little chat couldn’t sort out.
After the Session, Mr H said he was definitely feeling much lighter and comfier about himself !
