little miss vela
This little lady is Vela. Vela is around 2 years old and she is a Chinchilla Persian who lives in Wigan, Greater Manchester.
Vela’s coat had become particularly pelted and we needed to take it away for a fresh start for Vela.
Mum Taheerah later said
“Vela’s fur presented a real challenge to us, having become severely matted over a period of months. Sandra handled Vela with care and attention and I was impressed with how skillfully she kept Vela calm through the process given her normal nervous demeanour. Since her clipping, Vela has become much more comfortable, grooming herself more frequently and even a little more affectionate with us too ! I would not hesitate to recommend EssentiallyPurrfect to anyone looking for a cat groom in future ! Thank you !”
baby mollie
Say a big Hi to Mollie from Warrington, Cheshire !
At just 8 months old, Mollie is one of the sweetest little peas you could meet !
Today’s session was a taster, really – and her interaction was fantastic. Although a little wary for the first few (10 ?) seconds, she settled well on the grooming table and obviously enjoyed all the fuss. Stretched out, lapping it up !
Such a good girl, Mollie ! Well done !
a little teddy bear
Come and meet Teddy !
Teddy is a Ragdoll from Thornton-Cleveleys, Lancashire and he’s just 4 years old.
Teddy’s coat had become knotted in places and we worked through these with the clippers. The rest of his coat – particularly around his flanks and shoulders – was ready for a brush out.
Not too keen on lying over, but no fuss being brushed the right way up ! A real good boy !
Well done Teddy !
bonny boo
“Moggy Boo meows his thanx to you for being so patient with him and making him feel much much lighter but he says he now catches a breeze now his underwears gone .. his fur feels great after your hard work especially with the conditioner. Looking forward to seeing you again in the future. Thank you. boo & tiggz”
persian sophie
Who remembers Persian Sophie from Burnley, Lancashire ?
Sophie isn’t at all keen on being brushed and her thick Persian coat becomes matted quickly and easily. See the piccie below – This is Sophie before her session, with her long, thick coat.
Therefore, more recent sessions have consisted of Teddy Clips.
Here’s Sophie, above, after her latest session. Definitely more comfy and a much easier maintenance way forward for everyone concerned.
big boy bertie
Maine Coon Bertie from Urmston was ready for his maintenance groom when we called on him recently.
Bertie is a bigggggg guy with a coat to match !
He always reckons he’d rather not – but once on the grooming table he can’t help the fact that he enjoys the attention and fuss.
Nice session once again, Bertie !
such a grand age
This little lady is Rosy. This little lady is a Persian. This little lady is 18 years old !
Rosy had developed a very matted coat – over her torso and way down each leg. As is often the case, the legs were the most difficult area to work through, as Rosy wasn’t keen. The legs are very bony you see, and neither the clippers nor the comb are fun there !
Saying all of that, Rosy was a little star. She tolerated all the clipping and was very responsive to sweet talk and chit chat !
Nice meeting you Rosy. Such a good girl !
Here’s a new guy to join our crew …. Ragdoll Foxy from Thornton-Cleveleys, Lancashire.
Foxy’s coat needed some help as it had developed a few knots underneath, and was pelted on Foxy’s flanks.
Although not too keen to lay over on his side, Foxy didn’t mind sitting up straight and being brushed out.
Later, mum Melanie said
“Thank you, you did a brilliant job! We now have a new comb and he loves it and let’s me groom him everyday 😀”
Well done Foxy – and well done mum ! Great news !
handsome buster
We called in again to see Maine Coon/Persian cross Buster from Chorlton, Manchester again recently.
We’ve met up with Buster a few times now. He’s a nervous kind of guy, but over time session have become a little easier for him. However today, something wasn’t quite right and it felt as though we’d moved back a step, for whatever reason.
Buster always has a Lion Clip as he’s happier that way … and his chunky body suits the style.
We’ll be meeting up again soon, Buster to keep on top of your coat ! Looking forward to it already … !
mr harry
Here’s Persian Mr Harry from Liverpool – being ‘helped’ to pose for his photo shoot.
We’d just finished a fabby session. Mr Harry’s coat had been worked through and he’d lost a lot of hair along the way – but no knots to speak of, apart from around his armpits.
Well done ! Such a sweetie !
