We called in again to see our Persian friend, Theo in Carnforth, Lancashire. Who could forget such a handsome face ?
Theo really isn’t keen on being brushed – by anyone. Naturally, his coat is enormous. So, these days we keep it short .. and actually, we think he quite likes it. Not the clipping session itself. No, he’s not too keen on that (and he was extra fidgety this time around. Don’t know why). However, afterwards it is plain to see that Theo feels comfier.
See you again next time around, Theo …. Nice seeing you !

Little British Short Hair Mary who lives in Altrincham, Cheshire had her 2nd manicure recently.
She is such a sweet little girl, and the sessions don’t phase her a bit. In fact, it’s all very interesting as she’s high up on the grooming table, and she can see all the birds out front, and the leaves blowing around, and the other cheeky cats that stroll through …. oooh, there’s so much going on out there !

such a belle
A new young lady to join us – 6 year old Belle from Droylsden, Manchester.
Belle’s coat needed a good work through, and we decided that she would prefer a belly clip (taking the tummy section back short). It was knotty, and it will help with maintenance going forward.
Following the session, mum Sarah said
“As you know, the last time Belle was professionally groomed it was under general anaesthetic. Thank you so much for taking on my tiger !! She scratched, clawed, bit, wailed and generally carried on shamefully throughout the entire session, which I expected. I’m amazed that you stuck with it Sandra and carried on regardless !! Belle looks so much better now and is a lot more comfortable. One brave lady – Sandra. Thank you, Sarah”
Hope you’re feeling the benefit of your session, Belle. It will be easier for you next time, as you’ll know that overall it wasn’t that terrible – and much more comfy afterwards !

Here’s new girl on our block, Rosie !
Such a pretty girl. At 7 years old, Rosie hangs out in Ormskirk, Lancashire with her housemate, and mum and dad. We think she may be a British Long Hair. Anyone ?
We looked at Rosie’s nails and coat. Rosie loves being brushed by mum and dad and her coat was in fantastic condition. Very little came away during the session and as Rosie didn’t think much about being centre of attention on the grooming table, this was for the best.
Afterwards – back to her nosey, friendly self with head rubs galore.
Later, dad Geoff said
“Great to finally catch up with Sandra today, after an afternoons grooming my cats Charlie and Rosie are looking a hundred dollars , many thanks for a great job”

handsome thomas
It was time for Thomas’ maintenance session recently. Thomas lives with his mum and housemate in Manchester.
The first time we met up with 5 (?) year old Thomas, he wasn’t as keen as us on having a grooming session. He wasn’t afraid to be clear about it, either.
Since then, sessions have become much calmer for the young chap. He will happy stretch out and oblige with various limbs at the right time.
He still doesn’t let mum comb him, but thankfully he’s doing a real good job of keeping up with his long fluffy coat himself.

cutie cleo
We caught up with our Maine Coon friend Cleo again in Stockport, Cheshire recently.
8 year old Cleo is such a gentle girl and she’s always so compliant during our sessions.
One or two areas needed to be removed, followed by a good brush out of her coat. We’ve never met up with Cleo at this time of the year before and today her coat was the thickest we’ve ever seen it.
Later, mum Amy said
“Thanks Sandra – she loves her grooming sessions with you xxx”

mr digby
Come and meet Digby !
Digby is a 2 year old Norwegian Forest Cat (NFC) who lives with his housemate and mum and dad in Oldham, Greater Manchester.
Digby is a little bit timid ’til he gets to know you, but such a gentle guy. He was a bit of a fidget on the grooming table and because he’s quite a big guy – well, ok, he IS a big guy – with a thick coat, the session took a while. We split it, for Digby’s comfort. Oh, and treats helped focus his mind elsewhere !
After the session, mum Sharon said
“Thank you for getting Digby’s huge and unruly winter coat in tip top shape. Digby seems much more comfortable and looks fabulous. He is very pleased with it and has been very affectionate and playful since ! Absolutely fantastic job and you have a great way with Digby. Thanks!”
Thanks Sharon ! Now Digby knows what it’s all about, he’ll be as cool and still as a cucumber at his next session. Right, Digby ?
