gentle oliver
mr radek
When we met up with Persian Radek this time around in Newton le Willows, Merseyside we decided to take away quite a large portion of this coat.
This was because Radek had been quite poorly recently, and had been back and forth to the vets for a number of weeks. Hence, his coat had developed a few matted areas.
Such a good boy during his session … Radek chilled whilst we got to work, and was even chilled while we did some foot work after the clipping !
Why not pop over to our facebook page where you can watch a short video clip of Radek, just after his session.
beautiful bella
Bella had her first maintenance brush out recently, in Chorlton, Manchester.
At 7 years old, Bella is a British Short Hair with a dense coat ! She’s been with her new mum around 5 months now and is settling well into her new life.
The first time we ever met up with Bella a few weeks ago, her coat had begun to clump in places. We managed to brush it all out, but Bella didn’t really take too kindly to proceedings. Today’s session was more chilled. Still not happy clappy by any means, but Bella was much more tolerant of the comb and we think she remembered that actually she had felt more comfy following her last session.
Looking forward to seeing you again in the New Year, Bella !!
baby bella
We met up with Bella, who is a Ragdoll/Persian cross, in Stockport, Cheshire recently. Bella is sister to Alice, who you saw again recently.
the urmston chicks
It was great to catch up on all the gossip in Urmston, Manchester when we called in to see Florence, Tiger Lily and Oscar for their manicure sessions.
All are such gentle, loving chicks. The girls are Oriental crosses and we think that Oscar has Maine Coon in him somewhere.
Afterwards, they showed off their party tricks – sitting to command – whilst we packed up the gear. Clever chicks !
Geoffrey, the maine man
Here’s the mighty Geoff ! Or Geoffrey on a Sunday ! Who remembers this big guy ?
Maine Coon Geoff lives with his very lively household in Altrincham, Cheshire – and he’s a real character ….
Last time we met up with Geoff (which was the first time), it’s fair to say that he wasn’t too pleased to find himself on the grooming table. However, with some patience and sweet talk we got there.
Today – although Geoff would rather have been snowboarding, or hang gliding – or anything else quite frankly – we had a much more relaxed session. We began very nicely. His coat was in great condition and was growing back well from last time. We cut front nails without a glance (!) and began brushing out Geoff’s tummy. A few minutes in, Geoff became fidgety and needed more reassurance and chit chat. We can do that …. !
Afterwards – Did Geoff scarper from the session room ? No. He kind of stuck around – then was cheeky enough to go outside and around the side of the house – and then sat on the shed roof watching his housemate’s session first hand. Geoff !!!!!!!
friendly philip
Phlip’s coat was looking fantastic when we called into see him again in Stockport, Cheshire.
The first time we met 4 year old Philip during the summer of 2015, we took quite a lot of his coat away as it had become pelted. Now, it’s all regrown beautifully.
We had a brush out and although Phillip is a nervous kind of guy, he coped well. He’s been with his new family for about 18 months now and mum said that he’s finally come out of his shell.
Well done Philip !
ladies from tyldesley
It was nice to catch up with the Tyldesley girls once again, for their manicures :
Lucy – as gentle as ever – is really getting used to her sessions now and isn’t half as nervous as this time last year.
Jess – Just a lovely, loving girl who takes it all in her stride.
Rosie – We saw Rosie’s cheeky side today for the first time. She’s obviously settling well into her new(-ish!) life.
Well done girls !! See you all again in a few weeks time !
not so chunky
We met a new chick called Chunk recently.
Chunk is 13 years old, and he’s a Turkish Van (or a cross ?). He lives with his canine housemate and family in Weeton, Lancashire.
As the years have gone by, Chunk’s self grooming has reduced and his semi long coat had become very tufty and matted all around his body, with a pelt down both sides of his back.
Vocal ? VOCAAAAAAL !!!!! We have never heard such a loud cry / meow / yowl ?? – Not sure what to call it ? – from a cat. Chunk is vocal all the time. When he’s sat minding his own business. When you talk to him. When you’re in bed upstairs, and he’s in bed downstairs. It’s an incredible sound and the next door neighbours could be forgiven for thinking he’s being murdered !
We took away what needed to come off, and left him with as much of the remainder of his coat as possible. Chunk really wasn’t keen on us working underneath, but we got there over a couple of sessions.
After the session, mum Lisa said
“Chunk seems happier already. Brushed him with the back of the comb … He’s much happier – the kids noticed it too”
We know that Chunk will be feeling much comfier. Here’s a piccie of him about 3 weeks after his session and his coat is really starting to grow back already.
miss tilly
11 year old Tilly in Preston, Lancashire looks more and more radiant each time we see her.
Tilly has had her share of health problems, but all is under control and mum and dad report that since we’ve got on top of her coat – and see her for regular sessions – that she is blossoming !
Really pleasing to hear and another gentle session, with Tilly outstretching various limbs to help matters !
