chinchilla martha
It was time to call in on Martha, a Chinchilla Persian in Clitheroe, Lancashire. A couple of sessions ago, Martha was clipped back on most of her torso to rid her of mats, so her coat would have a fresh start.
Since then our brushouts have kept on top of the regrowth. Much easier sessions for Martha, which has shown in her interaction whilst on the grooming table. Although still fidgety, nothing like when there’s lots of tight matting to remove.
Her coat is now well on its way to reaching full length and will get thicker now we’re approaching the winter months. So important to keep on top of it to help prevent problems going forward.
Well done Martha !
miss mindy
Mindy from Astley, Manchester was a very brave girl when we called this time for her manicure.
A little nervous by nature, Mindy has been with her new mm and dad for about a year now. However, without doubt she is becoming bolder and our session today was over without fuss.
Well done Mindy ! See you again in a few weeks time !
such a lady
12 year old Ragdoll Mystique in Stockport, Cheshire joined our gang recently. What a sweet girl.
Mystique had a few mats that required some attention – particularly around her shoulder area and her side. We clipped them away and Mystique was quite unflapped by the whole affair. In fact, she immediately seemed to know what was going on.
After the session, mum Jo said
“Was really happy to welcome Sandra into my home to groom our Ragdoll cat, Mystique. She is very furry and had developed several matted areas due to a boarding cattery not combing her every day. We took her to a different cattery the last time we went away and they did comb her every day, but were not able to remove the mats.
Sandra was very professional, covering the furniture in my living room and cleaned her table and equipment before gowning up – shoes included. Sandra was very gentle with Mystique, talking to her constantly, reassuring her and praising her. On the occasions that Mystique grumbled, Sandra stopped what she was doing and gave Mystique a wee cuddle and calmed her down.
I really enjoyed meeting Sandra and I even picked her brains for a few answers to my general cat queries ! Mystique now has a beautiful smooth soft coat again, although with a few shorter patches due to the mats being clipped off.
Many thanks for a professional service at a very reasonable price. Mystique sends licks !”
gentle mitzi
Here’s Mitzi from Billinge, Wigan. Remember Mitzi ?
Mitzi is now around 10 years old. She has a very gentle, sweet disposition, and such lovely markings.
We see Mitzi on a regular basis to keep on top of her thick coat. She’s set in her ways, and has her morning routine of wanting fuss and attention, before anything else .. If mum isn’t quite ready, Mitzi will let her know. Meow meow meow ….
We had a brush out today and tended to Mitzi’s nails. As she’s getting older and isn’t as active, her nails don’t tend to wear down the same.
Nice seeing you again, Mitzi ! (Although she looks like she’s giving a big lion roar in the piccie, it’s actually a very quiet, gently meow). Hehe …
friendly dexter
Maine Coon cross Dexter feels great once again after his latest Lion Clip. He’s around 10 years old and lives in Chorlton Cum Hardy, Manchester.
We meet up with Dexter on a regular basis and it’s apparent that sessions are getting easier for him. He’s still not keen – but is much more relaxed.
… oh, and he does swank afterwards. Really pleased with himself and his figure.
Great session Dexter !
the tyldesley girls
The Tyldesley girls recently were due their manicure sessions.
Lucy, Rosie and Jess are all house girls and are now really settling into their lives with their new mum and dad. Certainly lucky, happy chicks !
Each session is becoming noticeably easier for them.
We’ll see you again in a few weeks time, girls !
how exotic !
We called in to see our Exotic friend Luigi again, in Windermere, Cumbria.
Luigi’s coat is always ever so thick and his brushout always results in a huge bag full of dead hair. The sessions are lonnnnng as it’s so difficult to work through.
The last time we met up, we had decided to increase the frequency of Luigi’s sessions – so today’s session was a little easier and shorter than usual. It did make a difference. We still removed such a lot of hair, but Luigi’s coat wasn’t as clumpy and it was easier for Luigi.
Great – Nice session Luigi !!
