what a handsome teddy bear
It was sooo nice to see Mr Teddy Bear again. Mr Teddy Bear is 2 years old and lives with his family in Connah’s Quay, Wales.
Mr Teddy Bear is a Longhaired Exotic and he has the most thick, fluffy, long coat you can imagine ! He always feels so obviously happier when his coat is clipped short.
As always, he was a little start during his session. He sat patiently, and really enjoyed the attention and fuss.
After the session, mum Kirsty said :
“He loves his short hair. So do we ! Thanks Sandra, amazing as always xxx”
Nice seeing you again little fellow ! Hope you’re enjoying your Lion Clip again !
miss ella
This young lady is Ella. She’s about 15 months old and she’s from Widnes, Cheshire.
Ella is an extremely nervous young lady. We’re not sure about her early life but this may well have played a part in today’s behaviour.
She had some mats down each side of her spine and around her rear quarters. These needed to be removed with the clippers as they were past being brushed out. We tried different approaches, and had a couple of breaks as Ella really was so nervous.
It was nice to see the mats come away, and to know that now Ella will be so much more comfy. Well done little girl !
stunning macy
Our Maine Coon friend Macy in Manchester was due her regular brush out recently.
Macy told us a tale or two as we worked through her long coat. We took quite a lot off underneath which was too knotty to comb out. On top was thick, but mostly comb-able (word ?!).
Think this is the nearest to a summer coat that Macy has seen so far this year …. Here’s a piccie of Macy sorting herself out, after the session !
mr bailey
Here’s Bailey again ! Remember him ? You’ll find this 10 year old chick in Alderley Edge, Cheshire.
Bailey’s now quite used to his sessions and this is evident as each time we meet up he is more relaxed as he knows just what to expect.
Not a knot on sight today ! Bailey was wearing his summer atire and we had a brush out to relieve him of dead hair that was sitting in his coat.
Such a good boy – patient, calm and gentle. Nice seeing you again Bailey !
gorgeous herbie
We called in on Maine Coon Herbie in Warrington, Cheshire for his regular maintenance session.
Herbie isn’t keen on his sessions, but his coat gets knotty so they are a must.
We held the session in the garden as it was a very hot afternoon, and much more comfortable out there in the shade.
We took away a few mats which couldn’t be worked through, and brushed out the rest of Herbie’s coat …. and we know that Herbie always feels better afterwards, for his troubles !
lovely luna
Here’s a lovely 2 year old young lady called Luna from Haslingden, Rossendale, Lancashire.
Luna is a Maine Coon, and she’s the most sweet girl. We’re told she’s usually very nervous of strangers and usually bolts, but she sat on her chair watching and listening whilst we sorted out the gear out. Then she came over for a sniff of everything … !
This was Luna’s first professional groom. Her coat was in great condition, with just one or 2 knots underneath that needed attention. There was little resistance on Luna’s part. In fact, we know that she loved all the fuss and sweet talk.
After the session, Luna went into her little cat den where she proceeded to have the best wash you can imagine. When she finally came out, she was quite soppy – have slobbered all over herself. Luna !
A day or so later, mum Helen told us
“Hi Sandra …. Luna’s been a rather content young lady since her groom, she hasn’t even had a scrap with her big sister. She’s been washing her mum and grandma a lot too. We’d definitely refer you to our friends if they need a groomer in future and we would happily use your services again”.
Then – a few days later
“Again, many thanks for giving Luna a good groom. My allergies haven’t been half as bad since your visit. She’s been full of beans too, running around like a lunatic a lot more often and playing fetch……. Luna has always been chilled but after her groominbg with Sandra, she is on zen mode”
Fabby – Thanks Helen ! Nice to meet you Luna babe !
badger boo
A new little girl joined us recently. She’s called Badger – or Boo, affectionately – and she lives in Didsbury, Manchester with mum and housemate.
Badger is a sweet, gentle 2 year old girl. A little apprehensive of strangers, but we had a talk and stroke before we set up the gear.
Her coat was in great condition. Her coat is semi-long and she happily lets mum comb on top – but not as keen on her tummy being tended to. There were a couple of small mats under there that needed to come away and we gave the rest of her coat a brush out.
Badger was such a good girl. She would rather have been playing out, but she was so amenable.
Nice session Badger. Well done !
little luna
Luna anyone ? You can’t forget this pretty little face !
Luna is around 2 years old and lives with her family in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria. She’s a Chinchilla Persian and has the coat to prove it !
This was Luna’s 2nd session, and it was much more setttled all round. Luna managed to keep still for longer periods whilst we worked through a few knotted areas. Some underneath were clipped away, but on top we could mostly brush out.
Really well done little Luna. Such a good girl !
lady lily
British Longhair Lily enjoyed her maintenance groom recently. Well, not sure if enjoyed is quite the right word from Lily’s point of view. Maybe ‘benefited from’ would be a better expression.
Lily is now almost 13 years old and she lives in Preston, Lancashire with her mum.
She has the most long, thick, fluffy coat possible and as Lily doesn’t like being combed – particularly underneath – it always makes for an intense session. Going forward we’re going to hold sessions more frequently and keep her belly hair shorter. She really doesn’t need all that surplus fluff !
We know you always feel comfier afterwards, Lily. See you again, in a few weeks time lovely lady !
miss sophie
Little Persian Sophie was ready for her regular brush out in Burnley, Lancashire when we called this time around.
As a Persian, Sophie’s coat is thick. She doesn’t like being brushed and tells us as much in no uncertain terms. Her tummy hair is long and even with a regular schedule, it easily gets tangled. So these days, we keep it trimmed back for an easier life all round.
On top, we had a good brush out and removed lots of dead coat.
After the session, Sophie wanted to leave the room. So out she went, and the glass door was closed. She then spent the next 10 minutes sat watching as all the gear was packed up. She’s sooo nosey ! This piccie is through the glass door, hence the quality of the image.
See you soon, Sophie chick !
