beautiful bela
We were asked to meet up with Bela (or Bellamina to give her her full Sunday name !).
Such a sweet girl ! Bela is now 19 years old and she is taking life a bit easier than her younger years. She does however still play out in her garden in Southport, Lancashire.
Bela’s not able to wash her coat as well these days and it had developed pelts around the body – most significantly around her back, sides and rear quarters.
We took it real slowly with Bela, and gave her lots of breaks during proceedings. We worked on her back and sides first to remove the worst of the coat and it was apparent that this was a long enough session for Bella today.
We called it a day, and arranged to meet up again in a few weeks to work through more of the coat.
However, in the meantime we know for a fact that Bela will be feeling like a million dollars. In fact, whilst we were clearing up Bela was having a good scratch at an ear – something she hasn’t been able to do for some time due to her restricted coat.
Really pleased for you Bela – you were so brave and such a good girl.
happy harry
We met up again with Mr Harry in Huyton, Liverpool. Mr Harry is a 3 year old red Persian who is the most gentle, friendly boy you could meet.
We last saw Mr Harry at the beginning of the year. Today, we took away some tangles that couldn’t be worked through and brushed out the rest of his coat. Mr Harry was quite an athletic little chick today … Fidgety !
However, we had a lovely session and we know that he felt good about his bod afterwards. Plus, he looked lovely !
After the session, mum Mandy said
“Mr H is absolutely fine. He’s feeling very affectionate and rubbing his scent all over me. I think Kizzy is getting a bit jealous ???”
Well done Mr H – See you again in a few weeks time.
handsome herbie
Here’s Maine Coon Herbie from Warrington, Cheshire after his maintenance session to rid him of a few knotted areas and dead hair.
Herbie is now almost 4 years old and he’s a hefty lad. He’s not at all keen on the grooming process, and over the last 18 months he has decided that it’s not at all for him. We’re hoping that it’s teenage hormones at play and that he’s going to grow out of it as he’s such a loving boy at other times.
We’ll catch up with you again in a few weeks time Herbie ….
