not so tiny
This LARGE boy is called Tiny. Tiny is a gorgeous red tabby, 2 year old Maine Coon who lives in Didsbury, Manchester.
Very fidgety, it took Tiny probably 20 minutes to relax on the table. We then had a decent amount of time to work underneath. Tiny’s coat had developed matting under there and we clipped most of the underside away to make him more comfy.
Nearing the end of his belly clip Tiny decided that was enough for today, thank you ! Mum Ruth came into the session to offer sweet talk and comfort whilst we continued with the rest of his coat.
We got a big smile from Tiny as we brushed around his ruff and neck/throat whilst he looked almost gazingly into our eyes. He Loved that bit of the session ! Think he would still be sat there if we’d carried on !
After the session Tiny was definitely looking much lighter and he’ll feel much happier no doubt with his easier to manage coat.

Well done Tiny ! You look lovely !
pretty milly
It was lovely to meet up with little Milly in Ripponden, Yorkshire again. Milly is a beautiful Ragdoll girl, around 2 and a half years old and has the most striking blue eyes you can imagine.
At the last session Milly’s coat was extremely thick and we removed an incredible amount of dead hair through the brush out. This time around although the coat was definitely ready for a good brush out it was a much more manageable session, making it easier for Milly.
Milly remembered the last session and lay patiently whilst we set to work. We had a little chat while we combed away !
After the session, mum Abby said :
“Thank you so much for seeing my Milly again. Milly gets a very thick undercoat and quickly becomes matted but you have prevented this from happening and Milly seems so much more comfortable after her grooming. I think she’s actually starting to look forward to her ‘Sandra sessions’ !!”
Ay, thanks for the feedback, Abby … and well done Milly, you look gorgeous ! See you again soon ….
ruskin the minx
This little lady has recently been taken on by dad Robert in Bury, and Ruskin is quite a character.
Ruskin was sweet as sugar and very friendly when we met. Lots of head rubs and affection all round.
However, once on the grooming table Ruskin decided she really wasn’t going for the groom and did her best to leave the situation. She is not afraid to use her teeth or those little paws (!). We removed knots that had started to form on her chest and brushed out.
After the session Ruskin wanted to go outside (as she’d been kept in ready for the session). She went as far as the garden wall, then came back in for more affection and head rubs ! Friendly as anything. You just can’t get more contrary than a cat !
It was worth it Ruskin, you look lovely !!
Awwwwwww ….. !
What can you say, except “Awwwwwwwww”

lovely lucy
Meet Lucy. A gorgeous 1 year old Maine Coon who lives in Didsbury, Manchester with her mum and dad.
Lucy is an affectionate, nosey, inquisitive, friendly girl. A typical Maine Coon !
We’d been called in as Lucy’s coat was in need of a good brush out, with a few mats around the rear end that needed to be removed. The first 5 minutes of the sessions were very vocal. Lots of meowing. Then, Lucy settled quietly – eyes shut for part of the session – and purring. She meowed maybe a couple of times later into the session as we changed position, but it was very half-hearted !
When Lucy did manage to open her eyes (!) she found it fascinating to watch all the dead hair and mats coming away. We held the session in the bathroom and made use of the bath to collect the waste hair. She watched with great interest as this fell over the edge of the table, into the bath !
After the session, mum Rebecca said :

Well, thanks for the feedback Lucy …. Nice session ! Well done sweetie …
gentle scruff
This really handsome long haired young man is called Scruff, and he lives in Shevington, Wigan, Greater Manchester.
The reason our services were called in was because Scruff had developed matted areas – mainly on his sides and chest.
Scruff is a big boy – but very timid and very jumpy and fidgety. We began by working on his sides. He was quite scared of the clipper noise and although these mats came away quite easily, we decided to halt the session and resume a few days later.
At the second sitting, we worked on clipping the underneath – his chest and armpits, mainly. It was a relief to see the mats fall away. The remaining coat was extremely thick and heavy, so we followed the clipping with a good brush out. His coat is now patchy, with some shaved areas – but boy will he feel better for it, and of course it will grow back.
Scruff now looks half the size ! Well done Scruff. We know how nervous you were and you did really well chick …
a big thank you …
A lovely ‘Thank You’ was received yesterday from one of our customers, Francesca – and her babes April and Macy.
Really thoughtful of you and appreciated, girls – thank you so much ! The flowers are gorgeous and the wine will go down very nicely … ! xx
