is this true ?
Does your cat control your world ?
Would you admit to it anyway, if it was true ?
What crazy things do you admit to doing, to pander to your cat ?

lovely little lily
This little lass has been with her new mum and dad in Horwich, Bolton, Greater Manchester for about 1 year. She is so well loved in her new home.
She is called Lily, and is a Persian Chinchilla. Lily is a little nervous of new people, but soon came around and had a sniff – of us, and the grooming equipment !
We’d been called in as Lily had developed quite severe pelting around her lower body – on her sides, chest, tummy, flanks, legs and rear end. The top of her coat was lovely, and in good condition.
The original plan was a full clip, but after removing the pelt we changed track and decided to leave her with the remaining hair to save some of her dignity ! Whilst the new hair is growing back, mum will be able to get her used to being combed in those underside regions without any tugging of the comb.
In keeping with a typical Chinchilla’s personality, Lily was very fidgety. However, it is fair to say that it was a tough session for her as the pelt was extremely tight to the skin and some of the skin was sore, where it had been pulled/dragged for some time as the mats tightened to her body.
As the pelt came away the relief was obvious as, for example, Lily realised she could now stretch that arm right out again (whereas previously this had been impossible due to the mats). After the session we sat and watched Lily as she set about an in depth self grooming session – washing those parts of her body that she hadn’t been able to reach for some time (including her bum !). She then was all smiles as we did the photo shoot !
So pleased to see you looking so happy with your new body, Lily. Well done sweety ….
elvis … all shook up !!
This young man is the most gentle, placid, friendly, loving 7 month old Persian that you could meet. His name is Elvis and he lives in Middleton, Greater Manchester. Elvis is lucky to be with us, having survived a 6 minute spin in a dryer by a little girl not knowing what she was doing, before he came to live with his new mum.
Young Elvis needed some help sprucing up his coat – which had developed a few mats underneath and was every so thick elsewhere. Elvis also struggles a little keeping his face/chest clean when he eats and drinks.
Elvis lay patiently whilst we set to work clipping his chest and tummy back, and then brushing out the rest of his coat. The Belly Clip is virtually hidden when he is on all fours, as his coat is so long. It was an intense session, as his coat was very thick and his behaviour was impeccable. Whilst we were clipping underneath, young Elvis was doing his best to help by washing his chest and front paws. Later on in the session, – with a little sweet talk from family at points – he laid chilled and at some points really seemed to be almost dropping off on the grooming table .
After the session we thought that Elvis would have a little self grooming session, then a little nap. However, after washing himself for a few minutes, Elvis decided it was play time and summonsed up energy to cheekily play with A the granddaughter for a while.
Following the session, mum Christina said :
“I am Very happy with the service you provide, Elvis is a darling and does not attack but he is a struggler and easily panics. He needs a gentile touch when grooming which you provide three fold. I dont know how his underbelly got away from me so much, it just seemed to happen very quickly. ……he is younger than his sister Athena whom you also groomed for me 🙂 thank you so much again he looks ab fab 🙂 “
Nice to meet you Elvis. Enjoy your new coat baby, you are such a sweet chappy …!
what a den !
How would your little babe like a palace like this ?
Or has s/he got one of his own ? Or has a special place s/he calls his own anyway ?

holly and poppy
We called on Holly and Poppy again in Padiham, Lancashire for their maintenance grooms.
Holly – the most beautiful, 4 year old, long haired girl you could meet. A little bit shy until she gets to know you, but then very friendly. Holly is used to her brush out now, but still very vocal with it ! She told us a right tale !
Just a couple of small knots that needed to be removed, and a good brush out elsewhere.
Poppy has a short coat and is well able to tend to it herself. However, she doesn’t play out very much so we trim her nails for her every few weeks. Again, she’s used to it and doesn’t bat an eyelid.
Well done girls, nice to see you again. See you soon !
striking megan
This beautiful lass is 3 years old, and lives in Sandbach, Cheshire – and has the most gorgeous coat, with such striking markings.
Megan had developed some matted areas in her extremely long, thick coat. We clipped away on the chest, flanks, armpits and down her right side – which she didn’t mind too much. She was a little more averse to the comb as we worked through the rest of her coat, teasing out tangles and dead undercoat. She told us quite plainly that she’d rather have been out there in the garden sunbathing, or maybe in bed sleeping … or somewhere else !
However, towards the end of the session she sat quite intently on the grooming table watching what was going on in her garden whilst we finished off. We think she knew what the session had all been about, and was feeling better for it already. Her coat is now much lighter and she’ll definitely benefit from her less restrictive coat as it must have been pulling tight in some areas.
Well done Megan – let dad keep up the good work now … !

mellow mia
Little Mia – a gorgeous 5 year old Blue Persian friend of ours in Nantwich, Cheshire asked us back for her maintenance groom.
Last time we visited a few weeks ago we had a good brush out and trimmed her ruff, as – due to the length of it – Mia had been finding it difficult to groom, eat etc …. Today, mum reported that Mia has been finding life much easier since the trim. Lots of grooming has ensued and Mia has been skipping around happily !
It was evident at today’s session that Mia’s coat is now much more in control, following a few regular sessions and both mum and Mia’s input. Mia lay patiently while we simply brushed out – without a tangle in sight. A much easier session all round.
Following the session, mum Alison sent through these fantastic photos of Mia, and had this to say :
“Mia had a lovely spa day this week with Sandra, manicure, pedicure, eye’s & ears done with only a few moans when she had to have her tummy groomed but she is looking stunning thanks to Sandra! Mia is modelling Essentially Purrfect’s new spring/summer collection – Day wear [photo, bottom left]. Mia showing off her new Kitty Choos [photo, right]. Haha … funny !!!! Well done girls ! Looking rather fine, Mia ! Look forward to seeing you again soon ….

lovely saffy
Saffy is 14 years old – but really doesn’t look her age – and lives in Stockport, Greater Manchester.
As Saffy has grown older, she is no longer wearing her nails down as she used to and they were well in need of a trim. It’s important for you to keep an eye on your cat’s nails – particularly if they are older, indoor cats, or are known to have arthritis. If the nails grow too long / right around, they can pierce the soft tissue of the pad and become ingrown.
Saffy was rescued from her previous situation, and although quite friendly and nosey upon our arrival she was nervous on the table. Some sweet talk and cuddles from dad helped.
Well done Saffy. Sure you’ll be feeling much happier with your nails today !
