radiant red
Red is a Siberian, and is now almost 12 months old. A big lad already, he lives with his family in Smallwood, Cheshire.
He is the most friendly, loving boy and it was nice to meet up with him again. A few weeks ago we clipped away some matted areas that had developed. Today the new coat is growing back nicely. Mum has really kept on top of the brushing, and his coat is in a lovely condition. We had a brush out today, whilst Red sunned himself by the window.
Well done Red, such a good boy. See you soon …
a cat’s paradise …
squirmy mo
Well – we told you we’d call you Squirmy, Mo !
This lovely little lady is almost 4 years old. She is a Persian, and she lives with her family in Liverpool, Merseyside.
Mo had developed some matting around her body which she needed help with. She had recently taken some of the area away by herself, which had begun to grow back.
By nature, Mo is quite a nervous little girl. She was apprehensive of the clippers to begin with, by soon seemed to take them in her stride. She chilled for parts of the session, when laying on her side .. but she did have moments of fidgety-ness (word ?!) when she told us that she’d rather be doing something else on a Saturday morning ! Choice language ! However, we don’t think she was afraid – just very fidgety !
Following the session, mum Jan said :
“Mo is much happier with her new look. She is more content and welcomes being groomed. She is also grooming herself more too. Thank you so much for your professional approach with Mo”
Well done Mo…… Such a brave girl !
milk or not ?
Did you know that cow’s milk can give your cat upset tummies, cramps and even severe diarrhoea ?
This is because their ability to digest the sugar in milk (lactose) reduces.
Water is all your cat will ever need, but lactose-free milk is available for cats if you wish to go down this avenue.
Some cats though won’t drink it. Ours won’t.
handsome diego
This gorgeous 2 and a half year old Ragdoll is Diego, who lives in Sharston, Manchester with his brother (Mylo) and mum and dad.
Diego has the most gorgeous coat, but to make life easier all round we decided to give him a clip for the Spring/Summer months to come.
Diego has had a clip before – so he knew what to expect – but he was a little fidgety on the table. He didn’t particularly like to be laid on his side … he fared much happier in a standing/sitting position – so we worked with him and did as much as possible from a top position.
After the session, Diego was obviously impressed with himself and spent some time grooming ! He then felt he had to sit and watch as we packed up all the gear.
Later, mum Lynn said :
“Thank you so much for trimming and grooming my ragdolls Diego and Mylo today, amazing job! Especially Diego’s lion cut he looks fab!”
Nice to meet you Diego … Looking good little chap !
gentle shadow
This 16 year old fellow is Shadow … A lovely, gentle mannered Ragdoll – who lives in Kendal, Cumbria.
Shadow needed a little help with removal of a few mats and knots – mainly from underneath and on his sides. He didn’t particularly like laying on his side, but sat patiently for the most part whilst we tended to his coat. He didn’t mind a good brush out with the comb and after the session set about a good self grooming session in his favourite chair. His coat is so long, most of the clipping is disguised.
is there a gang at your house ?
Do you have a multiple cat household ?
Feeding time need to be organised !
Why not come over to our facebook page and show us your babes … We’d love to see some piccies !
handsome dexter
This lovely fellow is around 3 and a half years old and lives in Liverpool. His sister is Sissy, who we’ve met up with before. He doesn’t live with her, but he visits her and they are good pals.
Dexter is a Persian, and mum spends a lot of time brushing him every day. His coat is very thick, and in good condition but we decided to make it a bit easier for the pair of them by having a clip.
Dexter hasn’t been clipped before, but wasn’t afraid of the clippers at all. He was a bit fidgety on the table, but that’s all and seemed to know what was going on.
After the session, mum Egle said :
“Dexter seems to be very happy with his new coat and he comes to us to be cuddled all the time now ! Thanks Sandra”
Good boy Dexter. Looking rather fine !
our billy
Who remembers Billy ? Billy is the most gorgeous 5 year old Silver Tabby you can imagine and he lives in Lower Darwen, Lancashire.
Billy has the most long, thick coat you can imagine. He does allow mum to comb him in short bursts, but when we met up with him again his coat was ready for a real good work through. One or two small areas were clipped away (armpits, chest) and we decided to help Billy in the longer terms with a belly clip. However, with the length of the remaining hair, it was unnoticeable.
The photos speak for themselves. Billy knows he’s a good looking lad !!
Such a good boy Billy and nice seeing you again …. See you soon !!
dashing dalmore
Remember Dalmore ? Dalmore is a 3 year old Blue Point Ragdoll from Fleetwood, Lancashire …. who knows he’s rather gorgeous !
Although mum is able to comb Dalmore’s coat on top, it was thick and heavy and in need of a good brush out. As underneath is more of a no-go zone, a few knots and mats had developed. We decided that to make life easier we would clip the underside completely – ie. a ‘belly clip’. As Dalmore’s coat is so long this won’t be too noticeable (unless he’s laid on his side / back).
The piccie top left was taken before the grooming session. You can see how Dalmore’s coat isn’t sitting flush to his body. Compare it to the photos above.
After the session it was obvious that Dalmore knew that he looked extra handsome. See the expression on his face !
Mum Lynn later told us :
“This is the second time we have used EssentiallyPurrfect for our Rag-doll cat Dalmore, and once again Sandra has done a fantastic job grooming him, he even remembered Sandra from his last session. We have no hesitation in recommending EssentiallyPurrfect for cat grooming services, and we have already booked Sandra for Dalmore’s next grooming in September.”
Nice to meet up with you again, Dalmore ! See you again soon … !
