18 month old Bonnie and Clyde are extremely good looking Maine Coon littermates.

Clyde, on the left, has Black Smoke / White colouring.  He is already a big strong guy.  He let us work through his coat with minimum fuss – clipping away what couldn’t be saved, and brushing out the rest.

Bonnie is quite a lot smaller than her brother Clyde, as you’d expect.  She is quite a vocal young lady, and chatted away to us throughout the session.

After the sessions had ended, both Bonnie and Clyde decided to come back into the room to help with the clearing up.  So good of them … Or just typical, nosey, cats ?!

Following our visit, mum Kay from Fulwood, Preston, Lancashire fed back :

Cleaned, groomed, nails tidied, and de-knotted all in the comfort of their own home. mr midge

This handsome fellow is Midge – a rather placid short haired guy, with lovely markings.

We were called in to work through Midge’s extremely thick coat, which required a thorough brush out to remove the small clumps that had formed around his body.  Midge behaved well … a little fidgety to begin with, but settled down and allowed his thickest parts to be brushed through with minimum fuss.

Following the session, a top up at the food station was the first thing on Midge’s mind !  Mum Anna from Ramsbottom, Nr Bury, Greater Manchester later said :

“Having searched the web for a local mobile cat groomer it didn’t take me long to find Sandra at EssentiallyPurrfect.  She came around this morning to tend to my very matted Midge !!  Although he had his moments, he was fairly calm and certainly after the nearly 2 hr groom looked like a new cat ( even though he is nearly 18!!!).  Sandra was fab – very calm and professional and she did a fab job of Midge’s coat.  I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to get their cats groomed as she has made Midge into a new puss!!!  Thanks Sandra xx”

miss miffy

Say Hi to Miffy from Stockport, Greater Manchester.  A very pretty 8 year old, long haired, tortoiseshell.

Miffy had developed some tangles and matted areas around her back end, sides and tummy which needed attention.  We clipped away what couldn’t be saved and gave her remaining hair a brush out.

She’s a very vocal lady, and talked throughout the session.  We’re sure she was quite aware of what the session was about as almost immediately afterwards she started with a little self grooming.  Now her coat isn’t as overwhelming, we hope she’ll be able to keep on top of it.

Dad Neil from Stockport, Greater Manchester later told us :

“Miffy is a much happier cat after her grooming.  So much so that she’s started bringing home dead birds again !  This is worrying for the local bird population”.
