Before any grooming session with EssentiallyPurrfect, we will discuss your cat in detail and decide an appropriate way to proceed. Amongst other things, we need to think about your cat’s size and age, the current condition of its coat, grooming history and temperament. After this we will be able to give you an estimate of the cost of the groom.
To begin with, all sessions attract a Home Visit fee of between £45-£85 depending on your location within the north west.
Then, there are 2 options for you to consider – with pricing beginning in line with size of cat :
- A Full Cat Groom (with Dry or Wet Bath)
- A Full Clip / Lion Clip (with Dry or Wet Bath)

In addition to the standard sessions above –
- A Nail Clipping only Service is available at £10 (plus the Home Visit Fee £45-£85, depending on your location).
- A ‘Belly Clip’ will attract a fee of £10, in addition to Option 1. A ‘Belly Clip’ includes a ‘Hygiene Trim’ (and ‘Trew Tim’ where required)
- A ‘Hygiene Trim’ with or without ‘Trew Trim’ will attract a fee of £5, in addition to Option 1.
- A matted or pelted coat, aged or difficult to handle cats will attract, at the extreme, up to £50 extra (In addition to Option 1/Option 2).
- Repeat visits to cats with pelted coats will be priced at an additional £65 standard. This is because the advised frequency of maintenance Sessions has not been followed. This results in a subsequent, much more difficult Session – both for the cat and the groomer.

depositOnce you have been in touch with us and arranged an appointment, in order to secure your booking you need to pay a deposit of £47.50 (payment required within 12 hours). The deposit is fully refundable providing a minimum of two working days (48 hours Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays) notice is given. gift vouchersWhy not treat a friend or family member’s cat to a relaxing grooming session with a monetary value gift voucher ? These are available from £20 upwards in denominations of £10. The purrfect present for any cat owner. You can buy these from us in person by cash, bank transfer or PayPal. Whichever method of payment you choose, please initially contact us by telephone or get in touch by completing the web form as we will need a few details from you to populate the Gift Voucher (“to”, “from”, “value” and any special message to the receiver). You do not need a PayPal account to use the PayPal facility.
